Wouldn't thst make the team older, worse and cost more money in 2022 than keeping Deebo?

Some team would have to get crazy — think more than what Dolphins gave up/Jets offered for Hill
While Deebo Samuel can scream to the high heavens RE trade, #49ers have him under contract for this year & next (tag). Samuel won't forfeit that money. Leverage is with San Francisco.

From what I'm told: SF well aware they need Deebo to compete. Source: "He ain't getting out"
LOL. They'll overvalue Deebo (except at the negotiating table) like they did Garoppolo and in the end, will just cut him for nothing.
Nah tag and trade next year makes the most sense unless the deal is great.

This is a mistake IMO. Holding a player hostage will become a big time distraction. You don't want players who don't want to be here.
Totally agree - can't force a guy to be happy.
It is negotiating season.

ShanaLynch with another drop. These two bozo's are absolutely terrible in the offseason. Good for Deebo, obviously he felt disrespected by the front office and decided to take his talents elsewhere. Maybe these two pompous jagoffs will learn their lesson... but I doubt it.
Oh well, hopefully we get some good picks.
Those two made him a superstar and they are the bad ones from this?
lmao
What did Lynch do to make him a Superstar? Deebo has worked his ass off his whole life. Shanahan drew up some plays to get him in space and he did the rest. They aren't the bad ones, but they tried to play hard ball with Deebo... he balked at their bs and now he wants out.
I'm glad athletes are seeing the business end of it and understanding the leverage they have.

The team we trade him to does not have to give him a new contract and if he does not have a good year he will have to sign for a lot less then we are offering. Dude just bet on himself. Good luck
The team trading for him would be doing so knowing theyre paying him before he plays a game for them. Thats how these disgruntled player trades go down. The extension is a part of the trade
That's only if the player has a no trade clause. He can and will be traded with his rookie contract if the new team decides to pay him that is up to them. They could trade him and he could be in the same situation. He has no leverage were he goes

He had 1700 yards last season in total with 14 TD's, is 26 years old and who will still be cheap for 1 more year after an extension. We are getting much better offers than just a 2nd.
