and I will be sad
I'm calling Deebo to Philly for Raegor & pick #18 and maybe a day 3 pick.

Nah dude. Gotta send him to AFC and need to give more than that IF we ever decide to trade him. Fans will riot outside of Levi's if we don't resign him, not unless we got an offer we can't refuse.

He wants $$$ now because he is going to turn 27 this year and he is being used as a RB and has huge injury risk. We could always threaten to franchise him for a couple years in a row and eat up his prime that way, but I think we will figure out a way to get him "paid enough" because it is mutually beneficial. I disagree that just anyone can replace him - in that role, at least....I have never seen a WR run with that kind of toughness and vision out of the backfield, and I am 54. If we resigned Mostert it would've given us the opportunity to replace some of those big play carries Deebo routinely gets, but the guys we have now aren't built that way.
Yeah, he's one of a kind for a WR the way he's built and the toughness to play in the backfield. The closest comparables to Deebo are pass the catching/dual threat type running backs like Roger Craig, Faulk, Kamara, McCaffrey. I think Percy Harvin as the closest WR to Deebo with his short career. He was great when he came in and injuries piled up, then he was done if i remember correctly. I can see Elijah Mitchell doing some of those as they expand his duties moving forward and we need to find RB with those kind of skillsets.
