Paying Deebo top dollar just because he's the next guy to sign is not good business. Same thing when Trey's contract is up. He could go on to have a Patrick Mahomes like years 2-4 and I still would refuse to pay him to be the highest paid guy just because he's the next guy up.

I understand some franchises have to over pay. With Kyle here I don't believe we have to.

In a perfect world, theses athletes would quit being 100% greedy and settle for 75% greedy to put better players around them. At least as it relates to my teams anyway. I'm also only talking about the 100-200+ million $$$ guys.

Unfortunately, everything is about money now. Too many players judge each other by how much they make. Now college players are going to start making big money so we can say goodbye to guys playing for the love of the game. I have no problem with athletes making a good living since their careers are short but the money is reaching obscene levels. In the end it's the fans that will pay through higher ticket prices and higher cable and subscription TV prices.

There's no reason not to pay Deebo for 4-5 more years unless they don't think he will stay healthy.

Yikes

Deebo ain't a WR, he's a GADGET..

He's a TOUGHER Percy Harvin..

You and your "trade deevah" takes deserve the most eating crow

... and you believe we should pay him $25 a year??

I'd pay him $25 a year for literally 50+ years if he was down

Yah still down with this post @ ZACH ???

Did you really just repost that? You called him a part timer and you think it was a good gotcha moment?

No reason at all.
Trade him. I like a more traditional WR like Aiyuk in this offense. Get the picks and then cut Jimmy.

With a real QB behind center, a gimmicky WR isn't as important. I love Deebo but when I put my business hat on, paying him over your 1st round pick doesn't make sense. Deebo is found money, trade him to the Jets or Miami.

Deebo isn't gonna make more money that Hill.

I'm pro player & all for them getting as much as possible….football isn't baseball or basketball. That s**t isn't FGTD….they don't have the same career length.

Again we should focus on the fully guaranteed cash. APY is not a real thing end of the day.
I love the dude to death, but I'd trade him. For multiple reasons. His value won't ever be higher than it is right now,

We haven't had a great WR since TO, and people want to trade him now?

IF The cost is close to 30+million. Then hell yes trade him IMO.

TO had one major step up, the dude was bulletproof, rarely got hurt.

Why? That's the going rate now. With the cap going up over the next several years, 27-28 mil is a good price for an elite WR.

In the end the cap hit will matter. Just look at Hill's contract, it's in the mid 20 mil for cap hit. His last year the cap hit will be 50 mil, and obviously that will get restructured.

This FO has shown they know how to structure contracts where both sides are happy.

Unless Deebo and his agent want more guaranteed money than Hill, and a higher APY, that's the only time I would entertain a trade.

Deebo's a better version of Cordarrale Patterson and Percy Harvin and isn't the same as Devante Adams and Tyreek Hill.

Deebo should get paid, but if it's more than $25 mil, it shouldn't be here.

He was leading the league in yards at around 900 before we had to use him more as a RB. And that's with Jimmy G throwing him the ball.....
Teebo Samuel.

You just never know which of these dudes is going to turn diva on you until they have a bit of success and it starts to go to their heads.
