if lynch really cared about the future of this team. and i mean bosa and deebo. he would cut jimmy.. but he is not. that is why i really question if he is looking out for the team or his own ego

Not sure if cutting Jimmy would solve the problem. If they did that wouldn't they have to eat his contract? Whereas in a trade they would be free from however many millions they owe Jimmy, which could then be given to Deebo.

They earn their money. Deebo has the right to put pressure on an organization that rakes in billions to make his money. He puts his body and future on the line every single time he steps on that field. He might be in pain for the rest of his life from one hit. He might lose his sanity, rationality, memory, brain function in general. He might die before he should because of this game we enjoy. He should stand his ground and get paid what he thinks he's worth. I pray to the football gods that our organization understands what he's worth and they pay every penny.

Everyone understands what you're saying. The problem with this is that there only so much cap space. I'm down with them paying him 50m a year but that's not possible due to the aforementioned.

I have had to explain this to exhaustion. If they let Jimmy go before he clears a medical exam, they owe him $7.5 million. They need ALL of that Jimmy MONEY. Because of the shoulder surgery it is most likely not happening until the end of July.

not me. i like mostert but i also know unlike deebo. kyle can find running backs and make them special.. deebo is a once in a life kind type of guy. the best overall weapon we have had since rice, without deebos kick return we do not score. without deebo running the ball we do not get the first down that led to the field goal,

Truth. He saved us multiple times.

Yes, he had a mojor part in that win. But, let's not forget the defense did a damn good job stopping a HOF QB.

Mostert single handily beat the Packers and posters (most likely included you) were crying about giving him an extra couple mil lol

Also without a great defensive performance non of that matters. It's a team game. No one is saying Deebo is not important to this team, of course he is.

question is how much should he be paid?Nobody knows what we offered and how much he's asking for.

Also, I defer to Kyle on this one. He knows how much Deebo truly means to his offense going forward, and whether or not he can continue a great offensive production, with or without Deebo.
Coaches and players leaving in droves. It was a good run.

This. It's just another thing for posters to cry about Jimmy. No thought given to the actual situation.

well.lets get moving on it then lynch.. do not let it get to a point where they throw that dirty word. tag. around
I really want Deebo to be back and not traded, but I don't get the notion that what he is doing on social media is no big deal. If it were no big deal then there would be no point in him doing it. And I don't get the "it's just a negotiating tactic, so chill". Why is he using it as a negotiating tactic? I don't think 9ers management in and of themselves are moved by it, so what it seems to me anyway, makes it a negotiating tactic is that it gets the fan base riled up and that puts pressure on management. It's inconsistent to say it doesn't matter but it is also a good negotiating tactic. You can't have it both ways. If it's a savvy negotiating tactic because it riles up the fan base to put pressure on management, then what the fan base feels does matter. And if a noticeable chunk of the fan base gets upset at Deebo about it, that's a consequence that goes along with using the tactic in hopes of enough of the fan base putting pressure on management to make their offer bigger.

I don't blame Deebo for wanting to get the maximum he can, but he's got to take the negative fan reaction as part of doing this kind of thing. I badly want him back but my feelings about him have cooled because of it.

i defer to kyle more than i do lynch . i just do not think kyle can go grab a wide out like he can a running back and make magic with it. deebo is special

They are working on it lol

fans are just overreacting to negotiation tactics. There is still plenty of time to get this done.
