Cheetah : Only a deep threat or needs his QB to scramble to get more time to get open
OBJ: Has been, doesn't block, takes plays off..
DK: only can run the go route
Evans: Great, but hurt all the time
Hopkins: Would be a good debate, but still needs a complimentary WR on the other side

Deebo is a star but let's get real Hopkins is another tier above Samuel as a receiver. Hopkins has been a star with multiple ass qbs most of his career

This, not even close. Hopkins is arguably the best WR in the league. If Deebo can keep his play up for another 2 years, then maybe that argument could be made, but today, it's just laughable.

I think Evans vs. Deebo could be a debate today, but I still would give Evans a slight nod just because he's been doing it longer. But I also wouldn't trade Evans for straight up for Deebo, either. Same tier imo,

Maybe the homer in me, but I'd definitely take Deebo over Hill, OBJ or DK. Also, Deebo is a much better fit for Shanny's offense than the other 3 as well.

Agree Deebo is in the same tier as Hill/DK and is a perfect fit for Shanny's scheme he's almost a cross between the two

Hopkins hasn't done anything this year and is playing the back 9 of his career. Who knows how the knee treats him in the future

Agreed. As much as I love Deebo, he's not In the same tier as Hopkins. Not yet anyway.
Love this guy but be patient to give him the big bucks. Team is in a good position. No need to rush because as soon as the cap goes up there will always be money. And then there's that I've noticed that when guys get paid and switch teams as free agents they're not as succesful.

The longer you wait, the more likely his price goes up even higher, same with Bosa, just do them this offseason, when we don't have many major FAs to retain, just DJ, Laken, K'Waun, Key, that's about it, yes Al-Shaair too, but he's a RFA.

This. Just lock them all down. The great receiver class from 2019 is all up. We'd rather be among the first to extend our guy than among the last.

We'll disagree on this and agree on the rest. The money will be there. He seems to be holding up running around in the secondary but more importantly will he running in between the tackles and getting handoffs when the game is essentially over.

I get Bosa since there are way less star edges than star wide outs.

We'll see what happens pretty soon I guess.

Sign his ass if you can. We don't need another Buckner situation.

ok, great answer... fair enough fair enough..

I'll keep this current..

U think he's better than Cheetah... OBJ.... Metcalf... Evans.. Hopkins ??

For sure I would put him over DK,OBJ, and Evans. Evans is probally the most underrated WR in the league and he is the only WR to have over 1000 yards in each of his 1st 7 seasons but only his 2018 season was better than what Deebo is doing this year. And Deebo's total yards counting rushing yards is more than any season Evans has had. OBJ is not elite anymore IMO. Deebo is outplaying DK this year and is not a whiner like DK. I would take Deebo over Hill, Just because I think Hill is a scum human being. The thing with Deebo is we don't even really know what his ceiling is until he gets that elite QB to work with. To ne his only concern is the injuries.
lol Deebo is beating those guys easily and with less receptions.. add in the rushing yards ..beast. terrible take by OP

still very subjective... I do understand why the 49er fans will take Deebo over those guys.. but I'm not certain that will be the case entirely...

NO doubt he's having a great year.. . but I personally would not take him over any of the above..

What are you talking about.. just because I'm a 49er fan doesn't mean I HAVE TO LIKE or think every players we have are GOOD, and GOOD players are GREAT and or are SUPERSTARS..

I do like Deebo, I think he's playing great this year.. but I also believe that YUCK is just a better WR...

I also won't be shy to share my opinion about players who I think we can live w/o... again, just my opinion..
Even on a day where it feels like he had a quiet game and was bottled up, he still had 80 yards from scrimmage and the big TD that put the game on ice.

One thing I'll say is, I hope he becomes more sure-handed in the offseason. He's made some amazing catches in his career here, but he's also dropped some gimmie's. IIRC, he's one of the league leaders in drops.

it's all good w/them drops... he just needs to stop practicing w/them tennis balls... as long as he continues his road to may be becoming great..

don't forget.. Cris Carter had better hands the Jerry Rice.. and to this date, I still believe that John Taylor had better hands than JR..

Speaking of which. Armstead and DJ Jones are playing really good inside. Simple how inside was all Armstead needed.
