We have to move early and extend Deebo, before he's going to get too expensive.

I think you can only extend a player's contract after his 3rd year in the league. So I don't think they could give him a new contract until the offseason.

That's right - just don't mess around and get it done in the offseason and don't let it linger.

This is beyond stupid stop with the trade Deebo talk.

The Webzone will complain how every starter on the roster sucks, and when one is having a good year they'll want him traded

it's not like he's an awesome player, the guy is just one of those very good WR that has been playing superbly... if most of you see him as ALL WORLD, sorry I don't... again, he's just a softer Golden Tate (IMO) and he can be use to get some picks for the future of the team..

WRs, they come out every year... and again, he's no TOP 5..
This is the type of logic that cost us DeForest in his prime. Pay Deebo when his time comes.

I think the FO was going more bang for buck with Buckner. Problem is because of reliability and consistency, I thought then and now that Buck > Ward + AA and they'd have an easier time replacing those two players than they would in replacing Buck. With that said, I understand the decision. I don't like it but I understand. Deebo's contract will be up under different circumstances. No reason to not start the negotiations at the end of the season. We don't need Deebo getting a full offseason + regular season with Trey as his QB from a financial perspective.

I get it, you're a fan... but just because CARR is leading the league in passing yards makes him TOP 5 as well..

I think Both he and Bosa should be re-signed in the offseason. If Both remain healthy throughout this season that is. The Salary Cap is suppose to hit the roof in 2023 and with that the players salaries are going to jump through the roof. So need to get our core pieces signed longterm in 2022. It's also why it's key to get Jimmy's contract off the books and have a QB on a rookie deal. Armstead's contract will be up by the time Bosa's new deal begins. So I really don't think the Cap is going to be an issue. I think it alsp helps us that alot of our guys are on 1 year deals this season, So we get to choose who we want to commit to.
I don't know where this team would be this year without Deebo. He has been the main part of the offense with kittle a distant second. I recall some people saying that the Niners should trade him because he gets hurt too often. He does get hurt but he also produces at a very high level when in there.
Man.

I would, its still a long season and we don't know if he'll hold up. Especially with our curse.
Already halfway to our first 1,000 yard wide receiver since... Boldin?

Yall want some good takes go to around page 20. This poster called Deebo soft in one post and then followed it up with this doozy. Isnt AJ Brown like 1/2 inch taller than Deebo?

Yea and he compared him to Golden Taint. That is the worst comparison he could have made. Two totally different receivers with totally different skill sets.
The moment you realize you're old as f**k

Reporter: Have you watched Jerry Rice?
"Nah, I don't watch Jerry" - Deebo

No reason to pay Deebo right now. See if he can handle a full load this year then reevaluate in the offseason. Also, he was brought on for Shannys offense with Jimmy, let's see how that looks with Trey.

Correct. And first 1000 yard WR drafted by niners since Crabtree.
Playing like a man that wants to get paid in the off-season.

then we shouldn't pay him so he keeps on playing like that right.
