So then its ok $15 mil cap hit then?

I still don't get it, so we get an extra 15.6M added to the cap?
That's an excellent trade for Washington

So they are taking on Deebo's $17 mil salary this year. I think it means the 49ers get back cap room.

He takes up $31m worth of space. It is not real money. He's not actually owed anything.

The space he takes up this year can easily be handled with basic extensions and restructures.

I thought Jonathan Allen was gonna beat of the deal.

That would have been great, I imagine it had to do with the 9ers not willing to pay what Allen wants cause it really is a no brainer for both sides

But don't the 9ers save cap space by not paying him his bonus on March 15th?

But he ran 20 mph on one TD.

Maybe a nice rookie DT will be on our roster soon.

Niners will have other options on the table to improve their DL, both with vets via trade or free agency, as well as the draft. They could be pickier about obtaining Allen.

No. It is still a net negative on the cap. The 31.5 dead money hit is there. But the 17 million he was still due in savings and bonus, will save the team ACTUAL MONEY plus they will save that money on the cap.

No. They don't have to pay the actual bill. But they front loaded the contract so they have to account for all the money they already paid him that hasn't already hit the cap.

This means:

1) they have more cash (not cap)
2) he is completely off the books next season
2021 was fun
This I now Brock's money.... I guess...
National media is so stupid they're instant hot takes are Washington got a great deal and Niners got screwed. What the hell did they think the Niners would get in return, Deebo's trade value was s**t. Besides, how do they know it's great for Washington Deebo could continue to be completely inefficient. National football media takes are always horses**t.

Aiyuk
That Kid Rick
3rd and Jauan

And we are still developing Cowing. And we still have George freaking Kittle at TE.

We don't need to look to invest a first or second round pick at the WR spot this year.

Aiyuk not back until Thanksgiving probably and it is a complete unknown if he will be the same player. Essentially cannot count on anything from Aiyuk this year.

Pearsall
Jennings
Cowing

at WR is not good enough. If we can trade back a few spots in the 1st to 14-16 would have no problems taking Burden III + an extra 3rd to go trenches with as he is the last of the three elite WRs in the whole draft.

But we met with WRs Tre Harris (2nd round), Jayden Higgens/Savion Williams (3rd round), Ricky White (4th round), Antwane Wells Jr (6th/7th round) - so it appears we would not go WR in the 1st round which is fine too.

I prefer Grant/Campbell in a trade back in the 1st but we have so many needs that we just get the best player and not force a position.
