So 49ers gonna designate his cap hit to June?

God I hope so... that would screw us if not.

Why extend/restructure him if you don't want him? Or maybe this was Deebo's decision after all?
If so, what's going on that is making a player not want to be here?

The salary cap number is high enough where we can get someone better for our offense and then release him June 1st or trade him for next years draft. The only way it makes sense from a salary cap perspective.

I guess that would make sense. I hope you're right.

Would be funny if getting rid of Deebo actually unlocks Kyle's brain and the offense actually takes off in a big way. As good as Deebo has been for us Kyle has just been infatuated with him and recently it's bitten us in the ass more than it's helped us.
Not sure why Kyle went away from his normal scheme and played more straight up..

but I got feeling more of his presnap motion scheme will be coming back

That motion doesn't work at all anymore. The ravens already showed the blueprint how to beat this. All the defense does is not move at all put everyone on the line and then delayed rush drop zone.

The offensive line on the niners had no idea who to block.

The stupid motions keep Brock from audibling the play and cause us delay of game penalties.

Just get to the line and hike the ball with tempo. I'm so sick of the stupid presnap motions and no play changes at the line.

You have to get rid of deebo and CMC to make Kyle change his offense. Getting rid of deebo isn't enough.

lol what? The two couldn't be any different and I don't understand how you'd honestly compare them.

Deebo runs lazy routes when he's not getting the ball, can't beat man coverage, can't stay in shape lately and talks too much(lately without backing up the talk)

CMC runs every route like he's getting the ball to win the SB. Busts his ass off to be in peak shape all year long. Major threat in the passing game and able to beat man coverage better than some slot WRs.

Now I do think Kyle shouldn't design his offense to revolve so much around CMC but if CMC is healthy you're a MUCH better team with him on the field and you're not limited vs any defensive look.

JT O'Sullivan runs an excellent YouTube channel called QB School that you should check out. He does an episode on the 49ers/Chiefs Super Bowl and in it he shows Deebo dogging routes where he's not the primary guy. JT's comment at the time was something like, "This is the mother f'in Super Bowl why are you dogging routes." After seeing his Super Bowl analysis I was done with Deebo. I can accept that a receiver can be bottled up in a game but I can't accept a lake of effort on the biggest stage possible. It's a pattern Deebo did with astonishing regularity this season. I would LOVE to have 2021 Deebo, the one who worked hard, stayed in shape and played hard. 2024 Deebo I'm out.

Peak shape? He overtrained himself into injury according to his dad.

He is awesome when healthy but that is rare.

The team has to be able to win without either.

That was speculation. There's no way to know why he developed tendinitis . Too much training is one possibility. What's the proper amount of training? Nobody knows.

The SB isn't the only time. He dogs it ALL THE TIME since he got paid. Some of you are defending him like he isn't the one who requested the trade…………….again

That's true but there is a difference in wanting the team to be successful regardless of them being out there and thinking getting rid of CMC is a smart move.

Yeah I watch his stuff a lot. He definitely calls Deebo out a ton so it's not just the SB.

Sorry Dr Ed but there are many reasons that tendinitis can pop up. I've had it and I don't train at all. Like I said there is no magic number of hours or reps that you need to put in to get in shape. I'm sure many players train just as long and hard as CMC.

so you are saying there is no such thing as over training?
