He was great for a handful of seasons, but his time as a 49er should have ended last off season. It was the great Bill Walsh who said "it's better to trade a player too early than too late". Last year, we could of have received a good pick for him; this year, I'll be surprised if the 49ers get a bag of chips.

FTFY
Deebo is going to learn some hard thuths about what the NFL market thinks of him.

Then he will blame NFL teams for lack of opportunities
Talk about selling low, Deebo just turned 29 y/o
He should have 3-4 good years left. He's almost as fast as he was before.

2024 was s**tshow for the whole team, and Deebo had a bad year.
They should have traded him last year for a rd1 or rd2 pick, but they expected to be in the superbowl
I expect Deebo to still be a valuable player for 3-4 years
Of course he's not worth half the money he's paid (but neither is Aiyuk) so that greatly lowers his trade value

2nd round pick and deal him. We can use another 2nd.

We are not gonna get anything better than a 4th if that.

If all we are getting is a 4th we should just keep him. I'd deal him for a 2nd in a heartbeat. I think about a 3rd. No way 4th or lower. Just keep him on the roster if that's the case.

Lol
I can already tell I'm going to be tired of all the "Deebo to the Chargers" scenarios before this thing is over.
Deebo just wants an extension. These antics are the only way he and his agent know how to negotiate

Deebo and a 2nd ill throw in a next years 3rd to the Jets for Garrett Wilson

That's an extreme overpay especially since our 2nd is high this year. Wilson is going to want to get paid soon enough. I'd love to have him but we don't have room for another big 2nd contract WR on this team right now.

That's not an overpay for a young #1 who instantly becomes your best wr. Of course he's going to get paid soon since he's good but thinking a wr group that this team currently has unless Pearsall, Cowing and a rookie play their asses off is good enough is wishful thinking. You're going to pay Brock top end money and the last thing you want is to have WRs who don't beat man and the worst group in their division alone. Why do you hear the Higgins rumors?

This seems to be the case and he's going to be in for a rude awakening I don't think any team is going to give him what he thinks he's worth unless it's high incentive and low guarantee. His best chance at getting one more bag is to get in shape and ball out next year but by then he'll be 30.
Fifteen mil more to trade him than play him? Or $10m twice if after June 1? I don't mind losing him, but not at that price! Do we pay that if he finishes his contract out this year? If not, let him finish it out. We don't have to accept the trade he finds. We 'ain't going to get much anyway.

Some of you are forgetting how much Shanahan loves Deebo. And how much power Shanahan has.

You're conflating your fan view of Deebo's value with what it will take for Shanahan to move on from his boy. He can always just do nothing. He's already taking the cap hit regardless.

I would hope Kyle loves his job more.
I'd love to see a trade but his contract will be an issue.
