Thats why today's 9er fan is so impressed by a one season wonder Deebo. He had one good season. Hes overrated and over paid. Can't wait to see him gone.
Fans need to remember that 49er history goes back to 1946 (1950 in the NFL). They have as many HOF players as anyone. Unfortunately many younger fans think 2001 is ancient history.

People are talking like he's already gone. He and his agent need to find a landing spot and the Niners need to agree on the compensation before anything happens.

He cost us the rams game and the playoffs after complaining about not getting the ball. He deserves to be cut post June.

For all of you saying Deebo is a 49er great, you're right. He is but his time as a 49er should of ended last off season. It was the great Bill Walsh who said "it's better to trade a player to early than to late". Last year, we could of got a good pick for him, this year I'll be surprised if the 49ers get a bag of chips.

He knows this would be his last year, and we probably told him that we wouldn't be extending his contract at his current price or higher.
I'm not upset about this. He wasn't a man separator and his production hasn't matched his salary.
The cap hit is tricky though. Hope we can figure it out.

No. They have to pay him a $20m roster bonus on 3/22. He will either be gone before then or on the roster for the full year.
