It's been hinted by at by KS but it's definitely not definitive. That was absolutely my point too.
This is very appropriate for Pettis:

he will miss 6 weeks according to kyle. what do we do with his spot? 4 to 6 weeks means maybe four games.

Why do you need to do anything with his spot? This team isn't going to be trotting out 4 and 5 WR looks very often. The top receiving target on the team is a TE. The backs will get their fair share of targets in the passing game. You're going to see four WRs get any kind of meaningful snaps on offense.

If Taylor is on target for an early to mid September return then you can get by with 5 active WRs.

Damn that was nice should have been a huge gain

Dante absolutely wrecked the DB on one play and Mullens went elsewhere and then was running wide open on a crosser and Mullen pass got batted down.

Those two plays would have changed how people felt about his performance. Simply didn't get any opportunities to shine.

Good thing Shanny watches film instead of reading garbage from Cohn.

Sick

lol Kyle schemed hem
I saw Pettis break free multiple times and was wide open, he was running some nice routes, just wasn't getting the ball. I don't think there's anything to worry about
LOL. This tracks. Dante Pettis sure isn't going to be a #1 WR until he can get tougher. Dude not making contested catches, fumbling, afraid to go across the middle = soft. His footwork is fancy, but it's just an occasionally useful novelty unless he can round his game out. It's a big red flag that he even played last night. Once Samuel or Hurd get sufficiently comfortable with the playbook, one or both are going to pass the dude up.

None of this is true.

It's not Pettis's job to be an number 1 wr, he's not playing flanker. He's essentially perfect for split end

dante is now in his 2nd year of this offense and hopefully will have jimmy throwing to him all year, not cj and mullens. so to the bolded....doubtful

None of this is true.

Each of those things has been reported in the media since training camp. Shanahan himself talked about Pettis fumbling after making a catch. He might end up being pretty good, but he's a finesse guy at best and soft at worst.
