Trent Brown has incentives in his contract to keep his weight below 365. Give McG incentives to keep his weight above 320.

That's a lot of hoping, CC.

I've made up my mind about him. Even if he comes back healthy he isn't a good tackle and never has been.
I agree but i was trying to be optimistic..... do not know why.. this team has never given me any reason to be optimistic about pass protection going back to 2011

what kills me is people saying.. oh we have trey.. he can run away so we do not need good pass protection.. yes.. we really want our cornerstone running for his life and getting whacked outside the pocket. i missed the memo... quarterback hits are over rated. all quarterbacks get hit.. alot of teams struggle in pass protection. sigh

or just an incentive to be at least a respectable pass protector

Man dramatic or what guys lol. I don't think he's a pro-bowler and should have never been the pick at 9. I don't think he sucks or hate him lol.
I like what I saw from him this past season before the injury.

Meanwhile, Kolton Miller, who the Raiders settled for after the 49ers drafted McG, is a legit OT. I guess winning that coin toss was really losing the coin toss.

You're acting like he gave up a billion sacks and pressures…which isn't true.
his PBLK grade was on par with guys like Braden Smith, Isaiah Wynn, Duane Brown, Jedrick Wills Jr. and Ramczyk this past season.

I'm not worry about McG (if healthy) if he plays like he did this past season. I'm worried about LG/RG when it comes to Trey

Hope he shows up to camp at 330 lbs.
Dude usually plays under 300 so if this is 310, good for him but his weight post surgery is the least of my concerns. This feels more like a rebuttal to his other pick where he looks skinnier than Joe Staley a year after retirement. LOL
lol 330lbs. Dude has never weighted that much. yeah I'd like 310-315 tops for him. Pictures can be misleading as all hell (and we don't even know when that was taken). Remember when everyone thought Jimmy was fat this time last yr lol? Dumb.
He's never had a massive lower half and that isn't changing at this point, a lot of that is genetics. He will never be an elite PB, but overall this past season he was pretty damn good before the injury.
It's April not July/August. Looks like the rehab is going well which is a massive deal for a torn quad...people should be pumped about that. Not skinny shamming lol.
It's funny how people complained about Tomlinson for years only to complain when they didn't resign him (and saw how much he got). It shows you how bad OLs are across the league and how undervalued he was by this fan base.
Yeah, around 300 is his standard. 295-305.

I didn't see anything last year that looked any better than I had seen before. Like cool he can run block so could Compton that's not impressing me. A top 10 pick shouldn't struggle this badly at Pass Blocking.

For sure. We should know pretty early if he's on track to be 100%. I wouldn't bank on it; get some security just to be safe. His depth will get most of the reps for sure so that's good too.

Terribly overrated even as a run blocker.
I've seen him whiff on run blocks more than you would expect from an "elite" run-blocking T.

I've seen baby sea turtles run faster than that
Now he's training with Kinlaw and his anorexia is wearing off on him too
This is why we can't have things, nice or not.
Offensive linemen are going to look like sea turtles when they run. Kinda normal for those big boys... also he is
rehabilitating in the clips and not trying to show off like he is in mid season form.
