Brady won 3 first 4 years (of starting)

my belief is there is only so good you can play the position. Montana played it as well as you can, same with a lot of guys, like P Manning, Brady, Rodgers, etc. Lot of FQBs today like Allen, Herbert, Burrow. The trick with Mahomes is he has a HOF coach, HOF TE, started with a league wrecking WR, great D players you name it. Not to detract from his greatness, but the all time greats tend to be great players in great situations is my opinion. As long as Reid is calling plays, overseeing roster with Mahomes healthy they are the team to beat, period.

That's a great question. Two of the best play callers / designers in football. KS more run oriented. I don't think we would be so run heavy either, both with volume of runs and composition of our offensive line. I think Lance would fit what Reid is looking to do. Reid has long prized arm strength, going back to working with Favre. Shanny always seemed to prize a quick unload time from what I could tell. I had to look back to see why we didn't hire Reid, as he has Bay Area and BYU roots going back to Steve Young. We were coming off the Super Bowl season and at the height of the Harbaugh years, so we weren't in the market. If Reid is available say around 2014 or 2015 instead of 2013, he's probably at the top of our list.
The crazy thing is Reid is actually connected to the Bill Walsh (West Coast Offense) coaching tree via Mike Holmegren. Mike Shanahan also took some of those principles and mixed it with his zone running scheme so I think Shanahan has some of that as well with his love of the quick release and timing routes.
The thing is, I think Reid has evolved with the spread offense philosophy. Taking Mcnabb as far as he took him made me a believer but I was never thinking of getting rid of Harbaugh back then. However if we were going to get rid of Harbaugh, why not replace him with a branch from the Bill Walsh tree?
I consider Kyle Shanahan a part of the Bill Walsh tree via his father even though Mike and Bill never overlapped during their time here with us. I just look at how Mike ran the west-coast offense here under Seifert.
