In general, ratings can be helpful. However, they are not the end all. The eye test is still the final test, and that was the case with Kaepernick. His rating looked pretty good because he only looked at one option, and if it was open he threw it. If it was a tight window, he generally ran rather than take a chance on fitting the ball in there. The result was a good rating but little real success. Other teams saw that and still look at him that way.

Yes, his baggage hurts him, but as we have observed, if you are good enough the baggage doesn't matter.

This. Kap wasn't good his final year and you're lying to yourself if you think he was. Dude was in a QB battle with Blaine f**king Gabbert.

And the team was dumb for even considering Gabbert to start. Kap was much better.

Gabbert's passer rating was 69, Kap's was 97.
Kap has his own thread where you can discuss how average he was.

Time for a trade with Denver, take one of backup QB's for:_____?

CJ is awful, so nobody giving up picks for him. Mullens looked decent, but he wasn't winning no games. He might be worth a 5th, but that leaves us with no good backup.

I have to believe we would honestly only consider trading them CJ.

No one gives a s**t about Chip Kelly inflated numbers. He was terrible.
NFL will now implement a rule that prohibits you from tackling the QB on a QB sneak.

We had Jeremy Kerley and Quinton Patton as the starting WRs. If anything, the rating doesn't do him justice.
Hes about to win mvp and comeback player of the year
Why did he have to get injured right before the Packers and Vikings games! Was counting on those teams to lose those games.

They still might if their defense plays like last night.

Right. NFL organizations are in business aiming for a Super Bowl title, they won't get a sniff of the Super Bowl with Kap as their QB. Plain and simple.

If they thought Kap could help them win a Super Bowl they would not care that he sued them, he would have a job if he were good enough, he isn't.

He's not in the league because of his peaceful protest. There is no other reason.

Omgerd.

KC had 9 sacks that game.

Ffs man. Their defense isn't as horrible as some people make them out to be.
