While I agree it's a dumb call. It wasnt his injured ankle that got hurt so it's hard to blame the injury on Reid.

Yup. I swear some people intentionally forgot how bad Kap was at the end.

Not necessarily. They have the most loaded o in football. One that made Alex into a 4k qb. And division wise not much competition.

Very true Patrick Mahomes is a great quarterback but let's not forget he has all pros around him that make him look a lot better than he is. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are ridiculous, and Patrick Mahomes does miss a few throws a game that are head scratchers

5000 yards and 50 TDs.

He looks that good.

Wat? At his worst, kap was better than a lot of QBs in the league. He isn't in the nfl for one reason only.

Time for a trade with Denver, take one of backup QB's for:_____?

CJ is awful, so nobody giving up picks for him. Mullens looked decent, but he wasn't winning no games. He might be worth a 5th, but that leaves us with no good backup.

Kap at the end (for his last season) had the same QB rating that Aaron Rodgers has so far this year, and better than a ton of starters have so far this year (Rivers, Goff, Flacco, Murray, Winston, Dalton, Newton, Allen, Mayfield, etc.).

Remember though, the question isn't if Kap is better or worse than any of those guys: the question is if you can say with a straight face that you think Kaepernick is SO INCAPABLE of being able to possibly compete with Matt Moore that he's not even worth a two hour tryout.

If someone can't make that claim with a straight face and instead just wants to say Kap sucks while avoiding what the actual benchmark is back out here in the real world, they're absolutely full of it.

This. Kap could def be a starter on some teams still

Right. NFL organizations are in business aiming for a Super Bowl title, they won't get a sniff of the Super Bowl with Kap as their QB. Plain and simple.

If they thought Kap could help them win a Super Bowl they would not care that he sued them, he would have a job if he were good enough, he isn't.
Kap would get killed behind that horrible Denver line. His biggest problem was not being able to see and avoid the pass rush. He would start running around in a circle and unlike Wilson never could find that guy downfield. Don't forget he hasn't played in a long time so I doubt he's in any kind of football shape.

Most recent report I read is that Kap is working out 8 days a week and twice on Sundays. However, he's just hitting the treadmill and pumping iron.
