It would make the game vs the Raiders much more interesting, if Crabs is still on the team.

He will go back to NE and the Pats will let Butler walk

0.1% chance he becomes a 49ers. Lynch has repeatedly said character is vital and doesn't want selfish players. Talib is a good player but twice put himself and his personal battles above the team.

I agree with this but I will say he would be perfect in this defense for 2 years as the niners select another DB in the mid rounds to develop, im not cool with paying Johnson what he will want, Colvin, Fuller and Breeland are the only 3 I'd be ok with giving 3-4 year deals bc of their age and chance of them getting better..

Contracts aren't guaranteed in the NFL. We can make a big signing at CB and give some guaranteed but make sure after two years we can get out without much deadcap. We could give Fuller (or whoever), 5 years, $60 million with $25 million guaranteed and $10 million signing bonus. After two years, the only dead cap space would be the remainder of the signing bonus. That would be only $2 million per for three years.

So we'll pass on a guy who has made 5 straight pro bowls, was rated the #1 CB in 2016, the #13 CB in 2017, and if traded for he won't have any guaranteed money on our books over the next 2 seasons, while only costing the team $19 million? Seriously?
Crabtree is a diva and drama queen anyway, so I have no problem with Talib punking him cause he's always yapping. There is a reason Richard Sherman and multiple other DB's also can't stand the guy.
If anything it just makes me like Talib even more because he plays with an edge and that is something that is missing from this team. Our recent superbowl team was filled with edgy players. If your team is filled with teddy bears, good luck!

Roby is who you'd want, but he's under contract and will be Talib's replacement.

The only thing Fuller has going for him over Talib is his age. Talib is the far superior player and scheme fit.

You aren't Lynch. Your personal biases don't affect 49ers moves. He has said multiple times he prioritizes a specific culture and players who have that type of character. Talib doesn't have that. With the abundance of CBs available I'd be shocked if they pursue him.
