NE winning after 9/11 was the biggest one I heard.

I didn't say I believed it. A 45 yard kick in a snowstorm to force ot is kind of hard to rig.
But I know a lot of people who agree with you. Funny most people don't jump on the Saints winning after Katrina though. That's what controversial calls and upsets will do.

If Brady wins another Super Bowl, that's another dent in the alleged "Madden curse" theory.

Ex Calvin had 1900 yards on the cover kind of hard to say he was cursed. At this point the curse is nothing more than well they never won the SB.

Yeah my raider fan buddies were always saying that the "tuck "rule was invented to let the patriots win because of 9/11.

Why? Surely NY needed to win no matter what, after 9/11?

Redskins 1984 against Art Monk. Wright was called for pushing Monk but it was after the ball sailed over both of their heads. Bill Walsh said, "The ball couldn't have been caught by a 10 foot basketball player."
Call changed the outcome of the game.

Lombardi didn't have to deal with a salary cap, free agency, or even play any teams from the AFL until 1967.
Belichick > Lombardi
