Dude seriously...what is your issue with Pettis? You claim to be joking around in the other thread but then you post stuff like that and it makes it hard to take you seriously on the subject.

Pettis as a rookie led the team in TD receptions, was 20 yards away from leading the team in yards by a WR while playing in 4 games less than Bourne who was the leader and a team leading 17.2 YPC from anyone who had more than 5 receptions.

How are you calling that a wasted pick?

I like the guy as a ball catcher. I like the guy as route runner. But hes a pipsqueek who will never play a full season in the nfl.

Where'd you get your crystal ball? I'm looking for the powerball numbers if you have them.

Pettis was 6'1 186 at the combine. Listed currently as 6'1 195 lbs.
Marvin Harrison was listed at 6'0 185 lbs. He played 190 games and was inducted into the HOF while playing most of his career in an era when defenders could lay the hammer on people.

Can we stop this ridiculous notion that just because a guy isn't 220 lbs he's a guaranteed injury waiting to happen? Antonio Brown is 181 lbs. How's he doing?

So I guess that means there are no other receivers in the league his size that have played a full season?

2019 = 5 draft picks

Good luck with that John.

There has definitely been a cciowa type turn with him as far as it pertains to needlessly going full negative. I don't get it. WTF happened?

There are far too many things in real life to be legitimately negative about to be negative about a fantasy distraction (aka pro sports).
Kinda dodged a bullet no one asking to hire away Peters so far

I find it hilarious in here. Bunch of armchair GMs nitpicking a football player that stiff armed two different Seattle defenders. The dude dribbled a defender, but nah he weak

Lol the Pettis hate is funny. Dude played well for a rookie.

He will. If theNiners start hitting on draft picks and free agents and the team starts winning some one will want to bring him on as a GM. It's just what happens when you are successful. Look at all the guys that left Bill Walsh to become coaches. Alabama has had 13 coaches leave in the last 3 or 4 years. Life in the fast lane.

I hear you, NC, although I think the jury is still out on Pettis and Street. It does appear the 2018 draft choices are better than 2017, but it doesn't seem likely that the front office, as it is currently configured, can draft their way out of this. That would require a huge jump in competence and performance. I like the idea of hiring Scot McCloughan as a consultant for this draft. Larry krueger of KNBR suggested this several weeks ago and I'm on board with it.

Yeah, that was a post from back in November.

I didn't mean to imply the players themselves are a waste but for each of those guys we gave up extra picks to move up to get them...plus an ACL guy.

So if you're building through the draft, you may want to be smarter about giving picks away.

Here's a link that talks about how size at WR and injuries dont really correlate. Guess some chiefs fans were whining about Hills size just like people here about Pettis. linkTyreek Hill small size

He'll have a full offseason to add weight. He's already strong though.

You don't crush home runs without being strong throughout your body (arms, legs, and core).
