Plenty of other candidates for Houston to pick from.

I would have thought that teams would be looking to see what an individual had contributed to his team rather than the team's results with an injury list half a mile long? I know that doesnt fit in with the 'lets rubbish the team' concept which seems quite popular at the moment but I think you will find it has support.

Not trashing the team. At all.
But there are better front office "trees" than this one. Peters has a history prior to us, and for that, maybe the Elway "tree" has its attraction. But his move here was as a favor to Lynch, was it not?
Our personnel department is still a work in progress. I don't think it shows up on the potential GM scorecard enough to warrant concern with respect to Peters, yet.

As to Shanny having his staff raided per Ninerjok above, apples and oranges. Shanny has the potential to be a coaching talent incubator for years to come and that's already started.

Goood point. Still, it is kind of c.s to be scavenging teams F. O that have just come off 6 and 4 Ws seasons. Seems like they should be looking elsewhere, especially in teams that ended up in playoffs.

So why didn't Houston interview Adam Peters instead?
Don't forget the Rooney Rule. Martin Mayhew maybe interviewing just for that and Adam Peters is the real target.

I think Kyle's reputation and the success of Sean McVay may have something to do with our coaches being elevated from a coaching talent point of view, with regards to other bottom feeding organizations. Too bad we cant trade assistant coaches for draft picks, I think.

None of our defensive coaches were poached. That tells you something about our defensive coaches.

Kyle feels they are to valuable to lose so he blocked them from leaving?

Actually that's false. Hafley left to become DC or co-DC at Ohio State which is a promotion from what he was doing as DB coach here.

I dont think it's a promotion, more like a demotion.
