Jimmy Garoppolo, 2021 (15 games):

Possible anti-Jimmy moron excuses:

"But, um...rushing yards!"

So if Jimmy ran for 200-400 yards per year, that would take him from, "he's just a backup in this league, yo" to, "he's one of the greatest of all-time?" Really? Yeah, obviously not.

"Um, Jimmy is carried by receivers who ran after the catch on his STACKED TEAMZ."

Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Brent Jones, Ricky Watters. Yeah, that ain't gonna work as an argument.

"Uhhhh...well, Steve could throw deep."

Could vs. did.

Would 3 more completions of 31+ yards take Jimmy from "just a backup" to, "one of the greatest of all-time?"

"Defense was so much tougher then."

No, systems weren't as easy to succeed in back then unless you were playing on a WCO team. Which Steve Young was.

So your choices are either, "Steve Young was just a little bit better than a backup, and carried by the system and talent around him," or, "Jimmy is not far from being one of the greatest of all-time."

Actually, there's a LOT of room between, "one of the greatest of all-time" and, "he's just a backup." "Very good starter" is in between there. We can go with that. But delusional dips**t Niner turds think the same brilliant teams who think Brian Hoyer, C.J. Beathard, and Nick Mullens are all better than Jimmy Garoppolo passing on Jimmy proves he sucks.

Steve young was the top QB or QBs in the league. He also won two MVPs, SBMVP and a SB

You absolute. f**king. Moron.

Ramsay was blitzing.

QBs aren't supposed to read blitzers as cover men, you twit.

Jimmy did literally nothing wrong on that play. He had to get the ball out to a hot (which there wasn't any on the front side of this play, which is typical of a Kyle Shanahan play, as Kurt Warner pointed out).

Never talk about football again. You shouldn't have the right. You should be sent to a f**king gas chamber.

I hate Niner fans so much. Dumbest fan base in the history of the world.

Oh dear, NinerFansAreIgnorant didn't last too long on the Forum......

I mean we didn't even get to clarify his opinion on 5_Golden_Rings

He played with Rice, Taylor, Jones, and Watters, and was playing in the WCO when most teams weren't running that scheme.

Now everyone runs it.

Ever look up Young's numbers with the Bucs?

Comparing stats from almost 3 decades ago now. SMH.

They're perfectly comparable. You just don't understand football enough to argue against it.

In 1994, Steve Young's QB rating was roughly 34 points higher than the average. In Jimmy's best season his QB rating was only 12 points above average. They're not close.

nah man 30 year old dude's lack of brain plasticity makes this absolutely impossible.

that one was a classic lol

He's still doing it. That isn't what's changed.

I think the last two games, I didn't see any of these types of throws. The what the fudge are you doing or seeing type of throws lol..

He doesn't do it as much as the critics claim he does. It's historically been about one every two or three games, rather than three or four a game as is stated.

Idiot: Nobody was running the WCO back then except for the Chiefs, Packers, and 49ers. They were running systems that forced QBs to make tough throws.

Look up Young's numbers with the Bucs. Most teams were running schemes similar to the one the Bucs ran with Jimmy Raye when Young was there.

Mr ATT.. isn't there a certain 'form' you should be filling out right now?

When they say "don't watch the rush," they don't mean literally don't pay attention to the defenders in front of you. They mean don't let them cause you to not see what's behind them too. That's why QBs look for passing lanes. When passes are batted down by pass rushers, it's not because the QB simply pretended they were there. It's because defenders are good too, and raised their hands at the perfect moment.

Also, Ramsay wasn't blitzing. Did you see him look at the safety behind him? What happened is, Ramsay saw something that clued him in on the route from study, communicated that to the safety, and jumped into a lane he knew a quick pass would be. This was 100% an attempt to bait a quick throw.

Also, how many accounts do you have now? You're probably about to lose this one too.

Why would I need to, it's irrelevant

young didn't just show up and everything was great. He sat, learned, became a passer. That's why there was so much controversy
