Why are good games not the expectation with this group of pass catchers + the blocking?

If you wanna play that game, lets ignore his 4 Superbowls. Montana was also a 2x time MVP of the league (and was robbed of another one). He was a 5x All Pro.

You listed stats as the reason 2 quarterbacks from 3 decades apart are similar. So don't move the goalposts now bud.

If you take away 3 of Montana's Super Bowls (to make his rings equal to Stafford's), nobody would think he's any kind of legend or even a Hall of Famer. Both the MVPs he did win were an absolute joke. And yes, Stafford would be considered the better QB.

He was BLITZING, you absolute turd. Period, the end. He was blitzing and then stopped when Jimmy let it go.

A QB's job is to react ot the blitz and hit the hot read. It's not to read a defender's mind and anticipate he's going to stop mid-blitz and leap for the ball.

Jimmy did literally nothing wrong on that play.

Are we not IP banning anymore? Zero chance this isn't a PBM.

It's the same guy who said Steve Young had the weakest arm in NFL history.

Incorrect, because you're not correct for era. Montana was miles and miles above anyone else, especially in the post-season (in fact, he's half again as dominant in the playoffs than Tom Brady, when accounting for the mean statistical output of his competitors [yes it's Cohn, but when that article was written, it was accurate]).

"Era" is nothing more than more difficult systems. But that only applies to teams that weren't running the WCO.
You can pretend that Steve Young went from completing 53% of his passes with the Bucs to 65% because he just learned to be accurate and it was all a giant coincidence and had nothing to do with playing in a dink and dunk system, but that would just be delusional.

Also, again, the highlights of most games from the 90s can be seen on Youtube. He's not making throws of any more difficulty than Jimmy.

No, it was never accuracy that was his problems. In fact, he was one of the most accurate QBs in NFL history. Young needed to learn how to run an offense and read a defense.

As for comparing him to Jimmy, Young was more accurate at every level, especially deep, and was far more athletic. The fact that you think he had the "weakest arm in NFL history" belies your claim that you watch his "YouTube highlights." Well I have about 70 full games, and I can assure you he is more accurate down the field than Jimmy, as well as a most QBs in the league today. Young missing a wide open guy down the field was almost unheard of.
You claimed he couldn't throw 50 yards. I posted a video of the NFL competition showing him throw over 60.

Why do you keep doing this? Especially with respect to me, the guy whose QB metric had Jimmy ranked 11 in one version and 12 in another? And once I update it, he's probably going to be top ten this year (or if not, certainly top ten since week 4). I mean, come on. I'll critique where Jimmy needs work, but at least for the last couple of years I've been saying he's one of the better starting QBs in the NFL, and when I dug deeper in statistics correlating with win%, I began to appreciate his knack for moving the chains. The guy is absolutely one of the better QBs in the league, at the tier right behind the elite guys. How in the world that is an insult to you is astounding.

I'm amazed he was able to keep posting for that long lol, although it was entertaining

I'd give him kudos for the great names lol

Jimmy G saw this and said this week, "Personally, I wouldn't let that slide" and he showed up.

He's obviously one of Jimmy's brothers, so I don't blame the guy. But it's not like everyone is trashing on Jimmy. There's only a couple of people who have yet to admit that Jimmy is probably top 12 or so, 14 at worst. Yeah, he had a couple of bad games early on, but he's played very well mostly since week 3.
