Was good for his usual 2 picks. Burrow 39 QBR. Got ragdolled at the end kinda eerily similar to JGs final pass. If this is two #1 overall pick franchise QBs in the big game color me unimpressed I've seen much better this year from JG than that.

I don't think either one played that great.

The didn't they were both bums. Stafford game winner was laughable. A one yard pass to the best receiver in the game in a one on one doesn't impress me after the refs bailed him out. Kupp as usual was impressive. He is the story here.

Both QBs are much, much, better than Jimmy. Hopefully Lance can be as good as them so we actually have a chance to win it all.

Jimmy G had the 3rd worst EPA in Superbowl history, ranking lower than both Burrow and Stafford on this list.

Burrow's game yesterday would have been Jimmy's best playoff game of his career.

Murdered with words

Only just flat false. How about supporting your "words" with stats. You know, facts?

Burrow yesterday = 39.7 QBR
JG vs Rams NFC Champ = 70.8 QBR

Same opponent, same venue, 2 weeks apart.

I corrected myself, thanks.

What's the point of that outside inciting for the sake of more arguing? Just killing time?.. thread has totally devolved into petty shouting matches between bored fans.

I'm making a point. Stafford played very Jimmy like yesterday. Jimmy was hated on a lot for doing pretty much what Stafford did. I even provided a screen shot showing that before the last TD Stafford was pretty bad the last majority of the last 3 quarters. That includes 2 picks. Credit to Stafford though. He played pretty bad but made the play when he needed to. Just like Jimmy did many times to get us into the NFCC. Sadly he just didn't do it enough.

I've been praising Jimmy for it all year while others hated on him for it. Now that Stafford does it, the haters praise him for the same thing they hated Jimmy for. Am I lying when I said this place didn't trash the hell out of Jimmy for the GB win? They did.

I disagree that pointing out hypocrisy should be a terrible thing but I'll digress.

real Jimmy like.

Made a # of plays on that last drive Jimmy could only dream of making. Other than that and actually performing in the playoffs, yea, very Jimmy like.

Pretty much like the rest of his career,...as you only quoted his record with the Lions over and over and disregarded how he actually performed his entire career.
Stafford played great when it came down to crunch time. You can't discount the effect of losing OBJ who was having a good game until he got hurt. That left Stafford with one good receiver and no running game to help. He already was without his best TEs. Put Jimmy out there with only Deebo, No Kittle. No Aiyuk. No running game. How many TDs does he lead the team to.

No he didn't. I predicted this. He would play poor which he did. And the result would become the narrative. You can't tell me he played great. He whiffed on an open Van Jefferson from point blank put it in the 5th row. Then he spiked the ball at the feet of his RB setting up 3rd and long and he got owned on the 3rd and long pass deflected by a linebacker on Kupp. Bailed out by a poor call. Then bailed again and again.

But that one yard TD pass after a parade of flags (chefs kiss)

Kupp is the story he is unguardable. He won the NFL triple crown. How many times has anyone done that? He should have won NFL MVP. Yet for every Kupp comment there are 10 Stafford or OBJ comments. Kupp gets the glory in my world.

MODS, can please move this thread out of Niner Talk early? I'm still sick to my gut from that god-awful performance by "porn star Jimmy" two weeks ago against the lambs. I couldn't even bring myself to watch the SB yesterday. I didn't tune in until the BS call that lead to the lambs scoring, then I turned the channel. I just couldn't stomach watching a SB we would have been in but for Jimmy. Then the lambs win Just talking about it make me wanna vomit.

Please MOD's, spare us the agony and get this thread out of Niner Talk already.

He's on contract. Until that changes, it makes sense to be here.

Like what?

Refs basically willed the Rams into the end zone moving giving them extra snaps and moving the ball to the 1 over repeated flags with questionable calls. If there was ever a setup to shill a win for the "home team" of the new NFL prize stadium that was it.

The call for retreads like Stafford or Cousins were the second worst idea behind the call for Darnold. The 49ers are doing it the right way.

GoldenRings has dozens of posts in this thread talking about Stafford, no one else talks about him.

Stafford is old, a loser and on the Average tier with Jimmy and Kirk. It would be a terrible move for the 49ers to laterally upgrade to a qb on the same tier who is a loser and older.

Imagine thinking Stafford was the reason the Rams won.

Dude couldn't even win Super Bowl MVP when it's basically gifted to QBs every year. He's an upgrade alright, but he's an interception machine just like Jimmy. Rams won in spite of Stafford.

Y'all act like we would've won with Stafford under center. That's funny af. Would've been the same script, we lose to LAR in the championship game as long as they were able to find some average to above average QB.

Yeah you're right Stafford didn't make any great throws this game. That final drive 3rd and long no look pass wasn't him it was some other QB. They totally had a great running game going let me check to see what they ran for….oh never mind, one of the worse rushing games even in SB history.

whats funny AF is pretending Stafford and Jimmy are even close to the same talent wise. Stafford called a loser by many in here yet he's got the Lombardi.

Zero chance the Rans win if Tartt makes that play buy oh well.

It is not an objective term.

That third and goal from the 8 for me will go down as possibly the worst officiated play in NFL history. The entire Rams o-line other than the center false starts. This is obvious in real time. No flag. Then solid D some contact but no grab, no hook, no handful of jersey, head turned back and arm playing the ball and deflecting the pass. Everything you are taught to do. Flag. Course if the no brainer clear as daylight false start on four (four!) linemen is called the "holding" never happens.

Stafford threw more than 10 passes after that play and none were intercepted
