I know he can because he almost did before.

Kyle knows he can and that is why he is starting him.

What happened to the "clutch" goalposts stuff that we never finished discussing?

Or is it over due to the bad game and we've just moved to something else?

I asked you if our QB coming out and having a good 1st half counted any towards being clutch?

We finished that discussion.

It depends on the context.

??? If it's possible then that's a yes, right?

And him having a bad game where he's not clutch in the 2nd half shouldn't automatically end a discussion, should it? Otherwise, that'd be that "moving the goalposts" thing.

What is possible?

Use real scenarios and context.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs; $45 million

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: $43 million

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys: $40 million

Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans: $39 million

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks, $35 million

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers: $33.5 million

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions: $33.5 million

Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings: $33 million

Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts: $32 million

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons: $30 million

Not sure how many times I need to explain this and show their cap hit in 2021 for people to get it....You and I have had this convo how many times now?

I don't care about APY...teams restructure QB's salaries all the time and some don't even make it through their full contract so it's not the best way to judge a contract really for any player.

Who or what is no other metric? The only time APY get's brought up is when Schefter tweets out a contract and people go wild over it, we all know that s**t is a bunch of fluff end of the day. We all know that contracts/APY are written in pencil not pen. All that matters is what that guys cap hit is right now.

Your methodology is different than everyone elses.

Imagine claiming Jimmy was responsible for the Interception thrown by Trey.

there is a reason why front loading and backloading is a thing a contract is a thing though

No it is not...who gives a s**t about a players cap hit in 2018? It's 2021 man. Who cares about a guys cap hit in 2025, it's 2021 and you have NO CLUE what his cap hit will be by then because cap hits are written in pencil not pen.

Pretty sure Jimmy is capable of turning the ball over from the bench. HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY TURNOVER SINCE WEEK 13 EXCLUDING THE GAME HE DIDNT PLAY. But I guess that has to be said because delusion and lack of common sense is running rampant here.

Only thing that really matters with contracts is the GTD cash and what a players cap hit is right now.

I also don't care about cap hits. Dak's cap hit this year is $17M, next year will be $34M. We are talking about the same contract.
Stafford's cap hit would have been $30M if not traded to the Rams.
I agreed APY also has an issue.

The best way to look at it is the guaranteed at signing.
He's had 3 games in a row with an int, which ties his career high. So he's due for a TO free game.

Are the mods really letting this trolling happen? It's pretty clear what's happening here.

What did I say was false??? Passing stats are no where near comparable to modern day and it's factual that Jimmy is responsible for every single turnover since week 13 in the games he played. U don't think it's delusional comparing stats to the 80s? Passing numbers are basically double what they were in that era. That's delusional

As long as a football player/coach is being discussed idgaf. But that's just me. Feel free to use the tattle feature so other mods see it.

You're proving my point. Dak's cap hit this yr was only $17M, they were able to use money elsewhere because of that. Next yr not so much. Stafford if your were looking at APY would have been $30M BUT because he got traded that's not true.

I agree the best number to use when looking at a contract overall is the GTD cash, looking at a players cap hit right now also matters...not 3 years ago or 3 years from now. taking a guys total contract and dividing it by the years is pointless.
