I love BDN, but as a backup who can fill-in. He has a weak arm and 0 mobility. Jimmy is clearly superior in every way.

Lol you talking about those check downs vs the worst team in the league.
NT hates Sus, but if you take emotion out of it his take isn't unreasonable. Jimmy needs to play better CONSISTENTLY so we can move forward. You can't point at two quarters against the worse defense in the NFL as your mic drop and shield of any Jimmy critique. That's asinine. Jimmy needs to step up, time is running lower and the excuses are getting thinner
If Jimmy played like Nick did against the Giants we would be on cloud nine. Nick balled out with a depleted team. NO PUNTS.
Jimmy needs to come in and play well for a stretch of games. If he plays well one game a lot of you will be asking Niner fans to eat crow, but one game isn't s**t. With this elite team, it's all about getting the chip now. Welcome to the big leagues, Jimmy

He needs to stop being so scared and throw it to some WRs, especially more than 5-10 yards down the field. It's great to have TEs like Kittle and Reed who can get so much YAC, but we can't depend on that all the time. He needs to make some big boy throws like Mullens did.
He is throwing the plays he is given. I don't see him passing up a lot of long-ball opportunities. Remember, Kyle kept four TEs, plus a fullback, for a reason.
Kyle knows that with the limitations of his starting QB that this will always need to be a run-first offense which is why we've gone heavy on TEs and play a FB so often.
sorry but this is just such a stupid and ignorant take that isn't true at all.

I like how we're praising Nick for playing with his "big boy" pants on while downplaying Jimmy (as if Jimmy never has done this before already) when he's literally had the luxury to learn and sit behind Jimmy himself for a whole season and more lol. Nick learned a lot

Or Kyle knows FB's and TE's are mismatches in today's passing league.

They rag on jimmy for his mobility yet want to replace him with a guy with a weak arm and 0 mobility, weird.

He didn't play great against the Jets. Jimmy did but the point is consistency is needed from whoever is playing.

niners need to draft a QB to groom like Lamar Jackson and Mahomes with some serious wheels. someone like that in shannys offense would be insane with all these weapons

The post ACL mobility issue is something that doesn't get talked about enough. It looks like he lost some arm strength since 2017, and his footwork isn't always great, but the decrease in functional mobility may be the biggest issue post ACL. I hope he can get that back... looking at clips from 2017, he moved around in the pocket better on a consistent basis, and seemed faster when he took off. I think arm strength and other attributes suffer because of the mobility issue

Jimmy is more physically gifted. It's too bad that he's apparently a mental midget. He also isn't that mobile anymore since the ACL tear and his advantage in arm strength is often mitigated by his poor mechanics.
I want the QB that is capable of consistently executing the plays that are there to be made and that hasn't been Jimmy. Mullens lead the offense to its first zero punt game in 27 years. That's great execution.
