Threw one today ... to Sherman. Back foot throw was the report.

no harm in throwing a pick to the GOAT
If you guys clicked the link, you would see the author actually states what you guys are saying. Jimmy is the weak link because the team is loaded.

Not too worried about Jimmy, I think with Trent and our new TE's and bigger WR's, #1 rush offense is in the bag.

Nope, I'm not worried either. Can't wait to see what he'll do in year 2 (technically 2.5) in the system with better options.
If Jimmy is our weak link I like our chances. I'd personally say it's receiver. Lots of talent but it's young.

Agree, great young talent. I'll take that versus great OLD talent. I think year 2+ in this particular system, I would think he'd outperform Matty Ice in his 2nd year. If we have as strong a run game as we had last year, on 3rd and longs id be calling more boots and passes to kittle.
Does anyone know who the doctor is that fixed jimmies ACL and who the doctor was that fixed Streets/McKinnion?

Is it the same doctor?
In all honesty, its Jimmy G's greatness to lose. He'll be given chances to be great. He's already had one chance, I'm sure more will follow with how the team is set up. Its up to him to see how great he can really be. I really hope he does give us that 6th and may I even ask for more lol..time will tell.

Until he can prove he can do it again, Jimmy is the week link - that's just life.

I guess if the author is looking at it like that I can at least see where he's coming from. I still disagree though. The secondary is the weakest link in my opinion, primarily due to lack of depth.

He's still wrong tho. Say what you will about Jimmy but especially with Richburg being out can you say our IOL are top 20 a their position like Jimmy is at QB?

Maybe Laken? But with Richburg out is Garland top 20 C? Is Brunskill/Compton top 20 RG?

Hopefully they'll prove to be just that this season....much how I expect Jimmy to prove he belongs in the top 10 at QB.

He's not going to put up Ryan numbers. They had Julio and Ryan was putting up 4500 yards before Shanny ever got there. I'd expect around 4k again with a better passing rating. Which is fine with our running game.

I would have to say the secondary and it's lack of depth is our weakest link. Sherman is still good but not at his peak and Ward had a nice season but we are in trouble if they get injured. The O line is only average at best in pass blocking but they are good at run blocking.

They're above average when the ball isin't held onto for too long,...and we're probably seeing an upgrade this year. Give them their due.

Agree.
As a unit, and that's the fair way to judge them, not individually, they are surely above average. Now particularly with Trent Williams on board.
