moving around was not the problem, it was reading the field at times and making accurate passes. hopefully jimmy comes back strong, its time for him to show us the money.

I mean, he carried a s**tty team on his back

Jimmy had me thinking he was already top 5 after those 5 games. Looking back, that team was better than we gave it credit for.
Hoyer and Beathard sucked, but they were still close in many games. That team wasn't great, but it wasn't s****y. The worst part about that team was the QB play. There were better FAs than Hoyer, and there were much better QBs to draft than Beathard. John and Kyle f****d up bad as far as acquiring QBs goes during that offseason.
I'm not taking anything away from Jimmys 2017. He was unbelievable outside of the Rams game. John/Kyle caught the biggest break of their careers when BB handed Jimmy to us, but that 2017 team was better than we think. They were just waiting for a QB to give them a real reason to play.

In those regards, it's not a huge F up. Did it turn out the best way? Yes, actually. We came within a nose hair of a 6th trophy 2 years later.

It wasn't the best way, but they ended up lucking out. We lost the SB because Kyle was hell bent on bringing Cousins in and didn't even consider drafting the QB that beat us in the SB. Pretty big F up imo.

It didn't matter who the QB was for the 9ers, they weren't gonna win that Super Bowl either way.
