What sucks is he has to win the SB for people to consider him any good. Even if he has a 35:10 season but we dont win the SB then it's just gonna be "oh well he cant win the big game".

I've pretty much accepted the fact that he'll probably never be considered a good QB. Might as well just keep it moving.

I think it's important we keep the facts in front of us. Otherwise the truth gets lost. I mean we aren't selling stocks to each other here. There's no need for stretching things beyond what's what to "make a quick sale" or anything.

He hasn't played only 26 games,...he's played 42 games in his career. Starts are starts,...game experience is game experience.

huh? he can be a good QB and not win the super bowl next yr.

I don't think many people think Carson Wentz is a s**tty QB BUT he's never won a Super Bowl... Nick Foles won it and I'll bet not a ton of people actually think he's really a good QB. Same goes for Joe Flacco.

IMO I don't think he all of a sudden hit a wall. He can improve, how much is up to him. They should also be trying to improve the roster overall.

Yeah....it kinda is what it is with a spoiled franchise like the 49ers. Certainly not for the faint of heart as a QB.

Theres no way to be sure, so we'll have to see, but if he has a 2-3:1 ratio with at least 30 TD passes but we don't win the SB next year there will be people in this very thread saying "but he cant win a sb".

Dude he has NOT played 42 games. He was active for 42 games.

2013 he had 27 passing attempts.
2015 he had 4 attempts.
2016 he had 63 attempts and actually started in 2 1/2 games.

2017 he got traded halfway thru the season.

career passing attempts 837 (in 6 yrs)

put that in perspective, Jameis Winston & Goff had 626 attempts just this season.

Honestly I don't really care that much about perceptions as long as he keeps winning games.

Those people will more than likely be the same people that complain about everything and there's no helping them

When you have the most talented squad around you to the point where you xan make the SB on 27 passing attempts it doesn't suck at all. He's got to deliver.

I disagree. No way you sit behind Brady and not learn something from him, both in games and at practice. Yes, playing time is how he shall grow significantly but no doubt watching Brady take his reps taught him at least some things.

Not saying it didn't....jimmy said what he learned most from Brady was perpetration and how to be a pro.

Brady isn't coaching Jimmy, that's not his job. People throw out that s**t all the time. Oh he should know what to do because he sat behind so and so. baloney.

You don't learn how to read coverages/defenses & know what play to check to by just watching someone. You need to do that s**t. You need repetition when it comes to running the plays and being put in certain scenarios.

live reps in any sport is one of most important things when it comes to getting better.
