lol sure that sounds like a great idea

i like alex but this is not a good idea. that would be a what the f**k moment and not the best way for a coach qb relationship to begin. suppose i took luv out to dinner and then at the last second decided to lather her up with baby oil and hurl her over the wall of a prison... so you think she would ever trust me again??

I don't understand how anyone could criticize this move. Its right in between the 2 riskier options that this new regime was going to have to rest its fate on.

Option A was having to sign Kirk Cousins to the richest contract in NFL history, with no real proof that he's anything more than a regular season hero. And thats IF Washington lets him go. And BTW, he's going to be 30 next season.

And Option B was trying to figure out which QB prospect in this draft is THE guy, and we then won't really know if they got it right until a couple years later. It doesn't help that none of the QB in this "historically good" class is really looking that impressive this year.

We got the seemingly unavailable Option C. A guy who was drafted as an early round QB, has been vetted as a guy who gets it, and has the skillset. Hes been learning under the 2nd best QB and coach of all time, and knows what it takes to win, and be great. In his limited action thus far, hes looked fantastic. He's fundamentally sound, and has an accurate, lightning fast release.

Obviously hes not proven yet, but hes a far safer bet than any rookie, is already coached up and polished, and ready to become the leader of a team. Plus he just turned 26.

Even if Garoppolo somehow falls on his face, we can still fall back on one of the other options. Belichick really did us a HUGE favor. This incredible option just fell into our laps. A bargain opportunity at a potential franchise QB.
Like how you threw that in there....

if they want to see what they got,. at least make sure staley and brown are in there.. it does not solve the fact no one can catch a ball and hyde is a non blocking dancing poor mans version of barlow but at least he could stay erect, upright. what ever

wait till joe gets back??

Yea, I know. My suggestion was mostly tongue in cheek. I just don't get the desire people have to completely bubblewrap JG until next season when we don't even have him signed. The faster we get him out there the better, but obviously we should let him learn some of the offense first.

What exactly would Kyle gain from playing him that he already doesn't know?

That line of thinking could apply to any game going forward. Kyle doesn't know how JG will play outside of the Pats system and the sooner we find out the better. The more game experience Jimmy has this season, the more data points we have on him and the better we're able to evaluate if we should sign him to a long term contract or let him walk. If Jimmy can't at least give some impression that he could be a worthy franchise QB this season, should we really franchise or sign him for the next 5 years? That doesn't mean he needs to ball out in every game, but it isn't unrealistic to expect an upward trend as he gets more familiar with that offense. Not starting him this season at all would force us to make an expensive decision on him without taking advantage of our opportunity to see if he is worth it.

You're right. That line of thinking should apply for the rest of the season.

Again, I ask you, what possibly could Kyle learn from throwing him out there that makes him say, "Yup, he's the one!"? ShanaLynch already think that!

So what's the point in risking his health? And again, he has an agent who will also be pushing for him not to be playing until they can lock him up.

Kyle will get a million practice reps to see him in the off season and there will be plenty of pre season games to SEE him within our system.

There's no rush when everyone is on the same page of thinking long term here.

Hyde is gone after the year IMO Shannys system you can find good and cheap Rbs who can run for 1k yards.

As for Jimmy G he's gonna be ok after they bye going to make some of these guys look good especially taylor and little.

and then you would hunt me down and kill me... and then you would go back to tyrone whom you met in prison and live happily ever after. the people on the zone who want me banned would be happy, you will settle down and its a win win

i never understood the system talk or if hyde fits or not.. i just look for someone who does not dance. runs hard. catches the ball and pass protects and stays healthy,. he fits none of those in my opinion and i hope you are right about dumping hyde,. i agree that jimmy will make em look better in a short body of work and then we can hopefully seriously upgrade the roster
