Negotiations on a new contract are gonna be interesting. They have already said he's your franchise qb. So how much is a guy who only has played 2 games before getting injured worth? How do you evaluate that little tape plus he won't play this year? Going rate seems to be at least 20 million. I think he plays the last 4 games thoug.

This is a must-watch situation. I highly doubt his agent wants him on the field with a terrible interior OL and now, no offensive weapons. What could possibly be evaluated that Kyle doesn't already know? I'm sure ShanaLynch have little desire to risk him either.

He could still play but I'm sure both his agent and our FO are thinking long-term here.

Given we have yet another injury epidemic... should we risk it?

Hahahah what's up with 55 seconds in. Keeps looking at kyles hand then copies him. Maybe he got too used to copying whatever Brady did that he needs someone else to look up to.
oh s**t JG is a nut job or just high as fk

Can't believe I actually know something about this. This is called "Matching" and it's part of "Building Rapport" with others. There's actually some science behind this. Any google on the two quoted terms will tell you more about this. I had to go to a company class on this.

Anyway - back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Personally, I'm still kinda shocked that we actually got this done. With one move, the 2017 season now has added purpose. Taking a swing on a FQB and getting him in the building is huge. It just accelerates the whole ground up rebuild.

So kudos to Lynch for getting this done, if it plays out like we all hope it's a franchising changing move.

Just as an aside, I do like how complimentary Belichick was of not only Jimmy G but of Lynch and Kyle. It really does seem like Bill wanted to do right by Jimmy G and as Bill said Jimmy's "getting a good coach".

This has been my bottom line since it was apparent we aren't going anywhere this yr. If we could identify and sign a FR QB of the future, this would be a very successful yr for KYle and Lynch. And then....they did it. We know there was discussion early on in FA, and a no from BB pretty well ended it. A phone call from BB to Lynch basically just turned our season around. We went from needing :

FR QB
#1 WR
ER(s)
CBs
S
ILB
OLB
And depth EVERYWHERE to :

Removing the one hardest position to fill in the game. FR QB. We don't know right now if he is/isn't . But all signs point to the fact this IS the kid. Incredibly, we also have in the stable a developmental potential FR QB in CJ, so even that is taken care of, but most of us thot he had a shot at being the man.Well, if he turns out to be, fantastic and we have huge leverage then in trading,..or if he is better than JimmyG, hey , that scenario works out too. One other thought: had we NOT had Kyle here, would BB still have wanted to trade Jimmy G here? Maybe, maybe not. But having kyle here to continue to develop JG had a part to play in this. Would BB have talked to us wiht chipster or tomsul here? Nah, i don't think so. He was looking for a good home from him , far far away from NE. It just so happened we finally got the OC/HC we have needed and have desperately been looking for since 1999-2000.

So if this is our season, even a winless one or just a few wins, we win overall by filling the one hardest position to fill on any team...FR QB. We've already been looking for 17 yrs. Is this a watershed moment? Bet your bippy it is. Would anyone really have been happier if we filled #1 WR, ER, CB ILB, OLB, S instead? NO! This was the big one and until Tuesday, it looked Ike we were once again giong into FA and draft with no FR QB. Plus we already got a QB in training , CJ, so amazingly, FR QB seems pretty well under control now. Was this a Godsend? Yup, and probably from Lynch staying on good terms with BB as well as staying in contact with him. Just as important, once the offer was made our 2 guys were ready to jump on it.

And that folks is your successful season ...even if we win just a couple...or even none this yr. We got the one very most important thing out there....FR QB. Infrickingcredible. Nobody would have thunk it. Go niners.
