He just smiles at the playbook and it naturally melts into his brain.
He did pretty good with just knowing just a fraction of the playboy last year. Whereas it took Mattie ice one whole year to do half as good as Jimmy did. Now that is amazing.
he could be a genius. JG was handling all the play calls with ease and they weren't vanilla plays either
How do I know... hmmmm good question!![]()

Can you say how much of the playbook he knows now?
"No, he knows what we put in this week and that's what it comes down to now.

There was an article in the newsfeed today saying that former scout John Middlekauff is of the opinion that he would pick Garoppollo over Jared Goff in a minute if asked to choose between which player he would want on his team.
That got me to thinking about other QB's in the league and I have to admit that I had a hard time thinking of a single one that I would take right now over Garoppollo. And by right now I mean right now, not based on their past performance or future Hall of Fame credentials or on what they might potentially offer for a year or two of service. Brady, Rodgers, Roethlisberger and Brees are all too old. I don't think Carr is better than JG, don't think that Watson, Trubisky or Mahomes necessarily have more upside. Wilson??? Hard to say. Not Goff. Cousins? Don't think so. Wentz, maybe, Wentz is a stud but would he be better in Shanahan's offense than JG? Can't think of anyone else even worth mentioning. So if a team called up today and offered their current QB straight up in a trade for JG, whose call would you take? Personally I'd hang upon all of them
More and more it seems like the Niners really lucked out in this deal. Which isn't to say that JG couldn't come in next year and just stink it up but based on what he showed us this year that seems a little hard to imagine,
Wentz and Wilson are more dynamic but jimmy is more efficient. That's what happens when you watch Brady for 3.5 years. I'd take wentz personally I love everything about his game. Jimmy is 2 and Wilson 3

Honestly as long as Jimmy G is among the first tier of franchise quarterbacks I'll be happy it's been too long since the 49ers have been in the discussion of having the best quarterback in the game. But I could definitely see Jimmy having a similar rivalry with another quarterback whether it's Goff or Wentz
