His best bet is to not live in CA and get a permanent residence in a state income tax free state.

I think he is well past the point of caring about state income taxes.

This is why this guy got paid the big bucks! He's a TRUE LEADER!
Yee probably opened up negotiations by playing this video and then leaving.

Hitting receiver in stride with a flick of the wrist like it's noth'n, NOTH'N. Looking off then come back the other way and hit the receiver again in stride...IT'S NOT THAT EASY!

I hate Jimmy Garoppolo. I hate him so much!

Confirmed, Rodgers wants to be Jimmy's backup.

All the excitement and happiness in this thread...wow! When was the last time NT was in overwhelming agreement about any one player Niners signed?

Yeah, it's been that long ago.

Well there's a few exceptions in this thread who are pissed. But I think they're just secretly salty

I read nearly all of the replies since news was first announced yesterday. I only noticed two who disagreed (won't mention names), but they're usually negative anyway, so it's expected.

Everyone else loves the latest signing and it's rare to see Niner Talk on the same page about a player.
50% of all the talking heads, radio show hosts and callers on the national media since the announcement have had the basic take of "Why would you give all that money to a guy that's only started seven games?" Of course they haven't seen what we have seen but if these imbeciles just did a little bit of research they'd see that this guy came into a 1-10 team and change the ENTIRE CULTURE. He made every individual around him better even on defense. Just watch one game film and look at those perfect mechanics. This guy is a franchise quarterback all the way around and we got a great deal on him!

He'd still have to pay state taxes while playing in California.

Doesn't matter. Professional athletes pay the state taxes for where the game is played. He'll have 8 game checks taxed by CA and 8 game checks taxed by the state the road game is in.

Which is 2 more including Rams and Chargers. Plus we'll be playing at Seattle and the state taxes are high there too.

10 with with rams and chargers road games
Seattle sports radio hating hard on the Jimmy G signing. Brock Huard says Russell Wilson's resume speaks for itself, unlike Jimmy G's. KJR headline calls the contract absurd.

Bottom line, the Hawks are facing an offseason full of question marks and change, while the Niners are becoming relevant again. It's a good time to be a Niners fan in the Pacific NW.
Anyone know where I can watch the press conference afterwards? I have class

That's not what I'm seeing at all. Nearly everybody, nationally and locally, understands that this is the going rate and that he won't even be a top 5 paid QB in two years.
