The Seahawks probably sent them to stock the visiting locker room for the beatdown were about to give them next year.

I don't underestimate the wizardry of Paraage
i thought he was the spawn of satan one time?

Well people assumed he was the source of all the leaks, but they mysteriously stopped when baalke left. People also assumed he was butting in on football decisions. Nobody ever said anything negativity about his ability to work up great contracts that are team Friendly.

Paraag is the Executive Vice President of Football Operations and Jed's right hand man. Of course he's been involved in football decisions. It was his idea to hire college interns to do our draft scouting back in the day. He was in the Offensive Coordinator's booth keeping track of timeouts and challenges back when Jimmy Raye was falling asleep during games. He's been an integral part of every head coaching search. Those are just examples publicly known.

What seems different now is that with ShannyLynch and their long term contracts, he doesn't appear to be attempting to interfere with their areas of responsibility. And that's a wonderful thing.

There were 2 reports about Paraag that always rubbed me the wrong way. The first report was about him somehow overruling Bill Walsh about draft picks in either '02-03.

The second one was him supposedly steering Dr.York away from considering Mike Holmgren as HC for the 2005 seasons. The report said something to the effect that Holmgren wanted out and could get out of his seahawk contract and wanted the Niner job. Paraag was Against it because no Sb winning HC has ever won a Sb with another team. This always ticked me off because I'd be willing to bet a certain QB from Berkeley avail for the 2005 draft may have intrigued Mike. Also, it would have been a move back to the WCO. It's still my opinion that our move away from the WCO system after the 2002 season was this franchise's biggest mistake.

Both Jed and Paraag have way too much sway for having zero football experience and zero top level executive experience. Basically two kids that took over mom's billion dollar business playing fantasy football. Explains the constant dysfunction.

McCarthy was WCO form that Paul Hackett KC branch and I guess you could argue what we ran in '03-'04 was a WCO/spread blend. It just blows my mind that we could've possibly had a Holmgren/Rodgers combo starting in 2005.

Revisionist history only works in the make believe world.

IF we had signed Holmgren in 2002, 2003...do you really think we would have had the #1 over all pick in the 2005 draft???

that only means that we wouldn't have drafted Alex #1

Wouldn't have had Holmgren until 2005. He would have been a part of the drafting process leading up to 2005 draft.

Getting him in '05 would be an amends for the Dennis Erickson era.
