Do you mean Luke Joeckel of Seattle? He has been a bust everywhere he has been. Last season in Seattle he was ranked #51 (below replacement grade) among all guards. For comparison, as a result of an increase in run blocking performance in the second half of the season, Laken Tomlinson finished ranked #32.
Pugh was ranked #52 among tackles. We could say that his low grade was because he was not playing at his best position at OT, and I would agree, but he is not going to be that much of an improvement over what we now have at guard.
I fully expect Lynch to spend the time to further develop Magnuson on the interior and draft a mid/late round OT to develop. In short, I am not at all sold on Pugh as a big improvement.
