49ers' RB Raheem Mostert, who suffered a knee cartilage injury last season, underwent tests this week in Dallas with Dr. Dan Cooper, who said the free-agent-to-be RB is making a full recovery and will be ready to play this season, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

"Dr. Cooper said that in six years of doing this procedure on NFL players, this is the best recovery he's seen and there's no reason to believe Raheem won't be fully healthy and ready to go," Tessler said.

Finding a speedster in the late rounds sounds even better.

That much for him? I know he is good and important but he is filled with red flags. Ton of injuries and turning 30 years old for a RB that relies heavily on elite speed.

I don't see him as a must signed player going into 2022. Let him test the market. His value isn't what he thinks he is coming off a major injury. Maybe if reasonable Niners can match the other team.
And being a 29 yo RB.
His age is irrelevant. He has very little wear and tear on his body for a 29 year old.

He's dealt with Injuries though that could take It's toll on his body. I say bring him back on a cheap deal, or let him test free agency. Either way, I doubt he makes It though 8 games before being Injured again.

He's jumped around from team to team during his career until he landed here and was greatly helped by Kyle's offense. He knows this, we know this. I should not cost much to bring him back, maybe 2mil at the most.
He got paid $3.6 mil last year and 3.3 mil in 2020 why would he take a $2 million paycut to stay here when he can easily get $4 mil from Miami and be closer to his family ?

Because a 2 mil cut means he stays with Kyle and on a superbowl contending team, rather than a re-building team with a first time coach.
