From the home page article:

Colbert has 21 combined tackles and a pass defensed this season — his second in the NFL.

That is astonishing. Only one pass breakup this season despite how frequently he's been thrown at. I knew it was bad, but that's pretty awful.

I wish they would bring in a veteran Safety. Who's out there?

There were a boat load a couple weeks ago, but not so many now. Oh well, this year is screwed anyway, might as well see what reed can do.

He has certainly been a disappointment after such a promising rookie campaign. Let's hope he comes back healthy next season and plays back to his rookie promise.

I really disagree with the coaches playing Reed at safety and Moore at corner. Moore could have been showing what he could do now at safety.

The first position coach that needs to be replaced is everybody that teaches the secondary. At one point Sunday there were four guys guarding one Ram while the play went for 40 yards down the opposite side.

I saw that too and thought the same. The regression from year to year for players with this team is pretty bad dating back awhile now. Lots of coaches but no teachers and zero accountability from players to coaches. Our wr had a total combined 35 yards yesterday. Absolutely pathetic

Both Colbert and Tartt need competition next training camp to be starters. Problem is Reed is not enough IMO to challenge Colbert.

I have to agree with that. Moore's speed could help at either CB or Safety.
It's my fault. I take full responsibility. I bought his jersey.
A disappointing 2nd year for sure. Hope he bounces back next year, but they'll need to bring in some competition, too.
After letting WRs get behind him he was over playing over the top. It was pitch and catch for the QB and WRs. The WRs have 3-5 yards before he can close in. I think that's a fear of letting WRs get behind him instead of actually playing the deepest WR and actually playing him.

Part of that is not being able to trust the guys playing in front of him.

chicken/egg

So difficult to gauge who's playing well right now.
Good for a 7th rounder but I think we can do better elsewhere.

At least it wasn't an ACL.
