We could try but he will probably end up in Dallas.

Most likely. Maybe Reed can pan out at FS lol
I just don't get it. I thought he showed elite FS traits last year. He looks just awful
A lot of these DB's have regressed under Saleh....makes you wonder...

Agreed . Or st least I'm hoping lol
He actually played a solid game after the early shocker, doesn't excuse him though, definitely on the hot seat.
I knew he'd be getting roasted after the first play. He has to better. Smarter. No excuse. Might have to go with DJ and that's sad
Rosen missing long on a bunch of wide open throws made the defense look a lot better than it was.

Terrible mistake today but he'll learn
Captain tissue facing down johnson.
What was he possibly thinking on the first play. Hes the lone high safety. No one behind him.

He jumped on Fitz when Rosen was staring to his right and it took him out of deep coverage to his left as spoon was getting burned. At this point coaching should be leaving Uncle Sherm on his own and just making sure whomever is opposite of him gets extra attention as none of our other DB's have shown any consistency in coverage.
Hes a 7th round pick. He already overachieved enough, and now we know hes a below average player.

Should either upgrade this position in the draft or sign Earl thomas, IMO

Talent is there to be good at the role...he was actually exceptional to end last season. Why the regression? Maybe Reid was more valuable to the defense than our DC let on.

Bingo
I really thought AC would take a leap and be a special player. He's completely disappeared...but, when you think about it...no one is really making any plays. the only one to really make a play was Warner when he forced the fumble, and then Exum with the pic 6.

this is low key depressing right now, to have the hype that we did and all the excitement and to have all that just blown away within a few weeks, and no hope that It will get better knowing we have to wait a full year till our Franchise QB comes back...

man, this year is going to be tough for sure.

This is our team in a nutshell. a Bunch on average to below average players with no play makers. At some point we have to spend big on big time players if we want to see big time results. We sure havne't been drafting big time players. We watched Chandler Jones basically take over the entire game yesterday. We have nobody that caliber on our defense that can do the same.
Playing like a 7th rounder.

This is my biggest concern with this team right now. The mental errors, the injuries, the lack of pass rush all make sense or at least they're things that fluctuate and pop up with any team.

But considering how promising our young players looked last year the fact that none of them look to have improved next year in the same scheme despite the addition of a guy like Richard Sherman who should make things easier and better...it points to coaching.

Foster hasn't even been the same. At some point the rust factor has to go away.
Spoon hasn't been the same.
Colbert hasn't been the same.

It's my biggest concern moving forward.

Jimmy will be back. We should be able to address pass rush in FA and draft this offseason. We'll hopefully get some more playmakers on offense but our defense scares me.

They're not awful but highly inconsistent. A pass rush will certainly help but where is the development we see on offense with Kyle on the defensive side? We need our version of Wade Phillips. Someone who can help put the guys in the right spots and identify talent and put things together on the field and develop our young talent.

I don't think last year was a fluke. I'm confident Foster, Spoon and Colbert will right the ship but I don't want it to be in spite of coaching.
