What did Aldon Smith get? Wasn't that his first offense? I could care less if its weed or not. The problem is he's not taking care of his body. Smoking of any kind as an elite is just plain dumb. You can't perform at a high level. Your lungs can't take it. If he's smoking weed he's probably out drinking as well. Which means on game day he's already gassed and hung over and probably can't breath. He's probably sweating it out on the field. I really hope Kyle and Lynch setup a no tolerance policy for this kind of stuff on the team. He needs to be doing treatment, eating healthy, resting between games, etc.. There is no place for this kind of stuff anymore in professional sports. An offense like this, depending on who you are, could be the end of your career. I hope Foster reads this. How are we supposed to have an elite top 5 D when our starting Middle Linebacker is hungover and can't get a breath of air. They need to start putting in the contract language salary penalties for this stuff. Start deducting millions of dollars and this kind of crap will stop imo. Maybe not who knows.

I could say the same thing about Foster! Seriously, Stop kidding yourselves people. I agree weed is weed, but as an athlete if you are serious and want to be the best then there is no place for this. Do you want to break all time records? Do you want to be in the hall of fame? Do you want to have a very long career in the league? Do you want to be a role model for the youth? Do you want to be the face of the franchise and have everything you've ever wanted? This isn't the actions of someone who is dedicated and wants these things.

I'm sure that sometimes happens, but it's irrelevant. Reuben was not responsible, is not responsible, and will not become responsible if he escapes responsibility. A change needs to happen, or he's going to have a short career.

I don't think smoking cannabis is that hard on the lungs, not as bad as tobacco anyway...
