Yes. Everyone has demons inside them...some more than others. His demons must've had him very frustrated / confused af.

One demon wants to be nice, sweet and gay, the other wants to be hardcore gangster #CrayCray

There are multiple forms of mental illness and bipolar is just one of them, however, it does what you describe.

Mental illness, and the numerous ways it is manifested in individuals, has been in the closet far too long. Most are treatable, others are not, and the longer we treat it as something you "just have to get over" the more problems we will have.

Hopefully, the publicity that Hernandez has gotten will stimulate more open treatment and understanding.

You can also get comorbid mental illnesses. For example you can have a personality disorder plus depression.

AH had CTE that was quite advanced for his age. I would also suspect it was highly likely he had a personality disorder such as Narcissistic PD or Anti Social PD (psychopathy) maybe even Borderline PD. The PD may well have developed from his abusive youth.

Whatever he had going on within his head he was high functioning. That is why I suspect it was a PD as many who suffer from this type of condition can mask it and be highly manipulative. Their disfunction is more apparent to those close to him but they may not put two and two together for some time about the extent of the person's toxic nature.

What is strange is his suicide. Two days before he had beat a double murder wrap, and I think he was very lucky as there were significant links to him but just not enough to convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt. He has an appeal open on his first murder conviction and was thus in a position where he should have some hope of winning it.

So why would he suicide? One reason would be that he was being outed for his gay/bisexual side and could not deal with that side of him being exposed. His prison calls revealed he was extremely homophobic and transphobic which was probably a mask for his own sexuality of which it appeared he was ashamed. Being outed he could not handle the two sides of him meeting in reality and he killed himself from his shame.

Two, he believed it would financially look after his wife and child. This was flawed reasoning as he was never going to get any money out of the Pats. It may be a result of the CTE.

Three, he may have also been in a deep depression due to the stress of the trial. With the result, even though it was positive, he was still left locked up with a big struggle ahead for the appeal. The up then the down of the reality of his situation may have resulted in him having a great sense of worthlessness and lack of hope. This coupled with the CTE and a symptom of rash decision making due to diminished cognitive function is the most likely cause but is still hard to positively determine.

AB is more exhibitionist/overt in his behaviours then Hernandez was. Hernandez was the secret life sort of guy with only some leakage of his other side like some drug usage coming to the surface. The extent of his violent side was pretty much always below the radar but for a bar incident in Florida. He kept it within his "gangsta crew". Even when the murderous behaviour was exposed he kept his cool exterior and denied it. He was a cool as a cucumber in public up until his death. Remember he managed to fool BB and the Pats for a long time.

On the other hand AB is fooling no one. His behaviour is loud and in your face with crazy written all over it.

LOL

Ya think Packer fans gonna drink that White Claw s**t like some Bronco fans
Felt like if his dad didn't die, went to UConn like his father and he planned at 14 a lot of the bs would've been avoided. His dad was that structure he needed and the guy he definitely listened to. After his dad died going to UF and then getting drafted by the Pats, 2 hrs away from home was the worst thing that could've happened. He even wanted to get traded to get away at some point but he was way too talented and a major part of the 2 headed TE attack they ran for Belichick to wanna trade.

Don't disagree, but there was also a sociopathic element that was going to be a part of his makeup no matter what
