He already agreed to a to year deal with Atlanta.

So we got the last crumb off the floor that knows the O. Fine. But we didn't do it with time to spare. Still and all, it got done. And if it hadn't then we would have started peterman, but still needed a backup in case of injury.

I don't think signing Hoyer automatically means Cousins trade talk is off.
If WAS wants a draft pick, then we have all the leverage. They should just take a 2nd rounder for Cousins otherwise they gonna get nothing next year.
No two ways about it, definite "In your face" to WASH. NOW, now, they got no leverage. Prior, yeah, they did. Great chess move by Sharyn, and as noted, we probably just knocked down that exchanging 1st rounders to a 2nd rounder and that's it. WASH is in a world of hurt and things STILL can get way worse....as in they don't get Cuz traded this yr, next yr they get nada. Wonder what part of that Danny s doesn't get.

My head is spinning with all the moves, and funny, they all seem to be positive. Cutting all the deadwood and getting players to fit what they are trying to do. Shanahan can do the job, he's been primed since birth, Lynch? He's acting like a natural. What's next?

What's the difference? The big thing is that he knows how to run the offense. If we get another QB in here, we will suck while that QB is learning the offense. Also, we know Hoyer will never be the guy so there's no questionmarks going into next offseason. With Kap and/or Alex, there was always excuses or a backup looking better in TC.

Really don't understand these dumb ass reporters saying signing hoyer put us out of a cousins trade. That's bull s**t. If anything it strengthens our footing even more. We have a qb who could start now. They lost absolutely any leverage they had. We don't "need" to get cousins now

A good signing since he is familiar with KS and vice versa. Also, two years is perfect. Draft a qb like Peterman and have him sit the first two years and maybe start him in year three. Or could backup KC, this also lets Skins know we can wait till we build the rest of the team and get him for free next year, but if you want to get something here's our deal, take it or leave it.

He is the ideal back up, who is not here to start. His best year under Shanahan was 12TD/13Int. Just because he had his better year with Shan. doesn't mean he is a bridge QB. I still expect the 9ers to land Cousins and possible draft a QB in later rounds. Backup QBs are very expensive in this salary cap so even if they develop a late round QB for, he will save the 9ers 6+ million in salary on a rookie contract.
Glad to have a front office that actually values the QB position.

Cousins gone. Niners aren't dumb enough to give their #2 or their #34.
I'm preparing myself for Watson/Trubisky since there aren't any other defensive players worth #2. Hoyer will start the season, and the rookie will sit and learn the playbook. Hopefully be ready to start by Week 8.

No to Watson or Mitchel unless we move back, not at #2 and I mean far back. If that is the case then we won't go after KC or JG ever.

All in on Peterman to go with Hoyer. Next year sign Cousins unless they think Peterman can be the guy.

All this with next years draft class also POSSIBLY playing a role.
