That's my question as well. I don't know enough about the rookie DTs we drafted on who can play DE, but I think it could be ok. One would think Bosa would be wasted on a 3-4, but Mykell looks like a prototype 3-4 end.

The issue with the 3-4 is always the nose....you have to find a very special player to have a dominant 3-4. I think you are 100% correct on that. Having said that...there are more true nose tackles in college ball then there are NFL teams that need them....so it is not quite as crazy as it was the last time we tried to run the 3-4.

You still need an elite one to have an elite defense, but the NFL could probably field 2 or 3 more 3-4 defenses then they currently do.

A real leader of men. Man the niners are going to miss him. They don't have a real leader at this point.

HOU is way better and built for the long haul on defense.
JAC found a great offensive mind in Coen and has a good defense.
IND is a well run organization also with a pretty talented roster and offensive minded HC.

TEN isn't going to compete for that division in the foreseeable future. Head scratching that Saleh would go here in my honest opinion. Don't think he will last long as a HC there.

Hopefully he can get Woody Allen in there as the OC. Draft well and a few FA signings, they can compete in his first year there...
