Not impressed with WRs just running free in the backfield all game long and nothing being done to stop it

This team is very, very lucky they are massively better on defense this year. As compared to last. With our offense injured and struggling. This is what is carrying us. They hold down the other team and get the ball back to give you opportunities. It's literally why we are 3 - 0.

We spent the last 2 drafts rebuilding the D. Proud but not shocked.

Yeah, it's basically Warner and Bosa + a bunch of rookie contracts.

Saleh is coaching his ass off.

Secondary is still the biggest weak spot on team.

And yet they only averaged 4.3 yards a pass despite us being without Bosa for most of the game.

Looked like mental lapses which are at least coachable.

Now do the stop average on 3rd and 4th downs.
I suppose you think the TOP in the first half of this game is just fine??
This defense needs to get off the field if they're gonna win anything that matters.

They were only 5/15 on third down, 33%, and a lot of those conversions were Kyler Murray using his legs. A lot of their TOP is due to our offense not moving the ball.
I wish Robert Saleh would become Kyle's spagnulo or Seifert. Imagine how successful Saleh and Kyle would be if they had a 8 year run together? took them three years to make a superbowl contendor when they started with absolute crap.

He'll have more opps to become a HC but I hope he decides to stick around for a while. He seems a lot happier doing DC here with Kyle than he did as HC. al though I imagine he will want that challenge again. We should do whatever we can to keep him.

Would be funny if Saleh leaves and we DeMeco back. lol

i had no idea Robert would have this much of an immediate impact on the team. It's like he went off to college and came back with a PhD

He just seems like he is in complete control and knows exactly what to do, at all times. It's like the perspective he gained as a HC, has made his job easier as a DC. He see's things better and with greater purpose than he did before.

I knew his energy would be massive but what's surprised me the most - is his creativity. It probably has to do with the level of talent he had in his first stint, but he ran a much more vanilla scheme to keep things simple.
Defense giving up 16.3 ppg

I'll be honest, I didn't anticipate our defense playing this well early on. Still tons to clean up. But I've been super impressed with the energy and effort across the board. Saleh is a great coach. You can tell he cares about his guys and they love him.
