Saleh is a smart coach moving on from bust Wilson. He'll be cut from the Jets next year. Not sure White is the long term answer but at least he looks like an NFL QB.

They might take a run at Jimmy in the offseason.

Makes perfect sense. I'd have Jets as the odds on favorite to land Jimmy once season ends.

Wilson was basically another one year college wonder who people got excited about.

Great analysis. Timing is everything. If receivers are late or the QB throws late it all falls apart. Wilson's lack of anticipation would not work in Shanahan's system.

I find it odd how the entire sports world has blamed Wilson for Salehs piss poor coaching. Winning 2 of the last 8 with different QBs but the only one getting the blame is Wilson. Now I'm not saying Wilson is not guilty, he's been terrible lately but I've been watching the Jets and I haven't watched a more poorly coached team in a while. For example against the Lions they had :53 left and 3 timeouts. Instead of using a timeout he wasted over 20 seconds scurrying to force a bad next play. They finished with 2 timeouts.. That's after Wilson drove down and gave NYJ the lead while this so called amazing defense allowed future HoF Goff to drive and score In less than 3 minutes. The world blames Wilson though.
I do have to give Saleh credit though for deflecting all blame to the QB his coaching staff failed. Just like NYJ and it's toxic fanbase has failed every QB they've had the past couple decades Wilson is the perfect scapegoat even when 3 of the 6 losses were with White. Funny how Wilson deflects blame and he gets benched while Saleh has done worse by making all Wilson's fault deflecting blame and he's somehow a good coach. Losing 6 of 8 is on Wilson even though he when he was benched NYJ were in prime playoff position.

I think there will be a bidding war mainly between Miami and the Jets.
Unless BB is getting tired of Mac Jones' antics on the field and his declining play that he might want to bring JG home to right the ship in his final years.
