For sure. We can hire him as an assistant position coach or a motivational speaker for a lot less as a player.

Gruden is a joke. He's been riding that SB victory for over 12 years now. Overrated as a coach IMO.

For 18 years now. Don't have anything against Gruden, but yeah he may be overrated. Assuming he finishes out his contract we shall see how good he is by the end of it.

wouldn't swapping 3rd rounds hurt our position lol

Niners don't own their own 3rd RD pick. The WFT does in the Trent Williams trade. The Niners 3rd RD pick is the pick they got for losing Saleh which is a late 3rd RD pick.
It is only tampering when we do it.

thanks!.. had the 2nd rd pegged towards williams and thought we had our 3rd still
Sherm didn't have enough of being torched by the Chiefs speedsters. He want to go the Raiders so they can smoke them the same way twice a year. I hope he gets overpaid and SF gets a 6th round compensatory pick
I don't care if he leaves, he's only playing 2 more years maximum so it's a moot point IMO.
we all know hes leaving, lets see what his real thoughts on the team and jimmy G are

I can't hate on him for trying to get every last dime in the last two years of his career.
I reckon day 1 after he leaves us the smack talk will start.

From us or him lol?
Would only bring him back if he gives us a team-friendly deal.
You know your career has jumped the shark when you go to the Raiders after being on the 49ers. That's what everyone did back in to day when they tried to cling onto a starting spot those last 2 or 3 years.
So I'm guessing the money was to far off right? He is still the best CB on the team.
