I agree. When he plays he is still very effective. But injuries limit his ability to be on the field. I think he does hold some value as a player/coach. But as a full time starter? His body can't take that kind of punishment anymore.

Raiders might be getting in some dookie with Gruden's comments. Kinda weird situation since Sherman is a host on a show and Gruden was the coach.
I have nothing against Sherman any more. I wish him the best.

That was the most obvious tampering I've ever seen a coach openly commit. To not expect punishment would be like assaulting an official on the field and not expecting to get a flag and ejection.

Hopefully they overpay Sherman and it helps the 49ers compensatory pick even if it's an extra 5th rounder. At this stage of his career dude is worth no more than 9m

If Sherman goes to Vegas, he'll join a lot of former 49ers who went there after being released. Jim Plunkett, Lott, Rice, Rathman, Aldon Smith and I'm sure I'm leaving some out.

Trent Brown got grossly overpaid and they already regret it.

I can see him going somewhere a bit closer to being a contender than Vegas. If he's settling for vegas I would bet the Jets would pay him a bit more. And being in the NY media market would really set him up for his post career

In the context of the show it was more complimentary imo. I don't really care what he said to a guy that really is a FA and was almost flat out told he wouldn't be back because of finances. Theres not bad blood anywhere so I dont think the Niners care. the NFL is weird tho, they may get all annoyed. lol
