Leaving his alma mater after 2 years would not be a good look for him. I think he stays for at least another couple of years to make a run at a national championship before returning to the NFL.
Looks have nothing to do with it, the Rams are moving into a palace and money is no issue. Make him an offer he can't refuse and he'll be on the next plane.

I was just surfing on the net the past couple of days and I saw a truckload of articles about Harbaugh to the Rams again and I was wondering why cos I knew they had just given the extension to Jeff Fisher.
No bloody wonder now. Hey, never say never, stranger things have happened. I wouldn't totally shoot down Harbaugh at this point just yet.

In some way, I think this could be good news for the 9ers. I think the firing of Jeff Fisher or even may be Les Snead in due course will put additional pressure on the 9ers to do something about the current dire situation. This makes me think the Jason La Canfora interview with KNBR could potentially be quite credible.

Pretty much anything they can offer him he already has at Michigan. Money, full control and a shot at a national championship.
Teams will roll out the red carpet for him whenever he decides to return to the NFL and besides, by the time he is done at Michigan, the Rams could be looking for yet another head coach.

Dickerson went on ESPN shortly after Fisher was fired and ripped Fisher for failing to put a respectable offense on the field.
"For lack of better words, the offense sucks. I mean, he killed us, and that's what it came down to, and that's on him as a head coach. He put Rob Boras as offensive coordinator to run our offense, and our offense was horrible. I called it a high school offense and Todd Gurley called it middle school," Dickerson said.

if we get Mike as the GM, Kyle is in the bag
Honestly, that would make up for not hiring Adam Gase and letting Harbaugh go. Sure it looks good on paper but I've got much much much more confidence in Shanahan and son than I ever had in Chip Kelly. Hiring Shanahan and son would make me interested in 49ers football again and stop me from looking forward to the #1 overall pick. I love Shanahan's offense, it looks even more awesome with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones running it!!!
49ers NEED to get back to their WCO roots and stop with all this Chip Kelly b******t.

So who looks worse
Jed hiring a coach every year trying to find a winner or the Rams sticking with Fisher for as long as they did?

That would be like having to spend two holidays a year with an ex who broke your heart and her current husband

This should of happen during this offseason, now Fisher is collecting another 2 year of $, pending if he don't sign elsewhere in the offseason.
