I wouldn't concern myself with where the Seahawks won. The important story line is they have 2 rings since 2010 and both involved eliminating us.

ESPN just ranked the 2025 Seahawks above every #49ers Super Bowl champion — even the iconic 1989 team. 👀🤔 #FTTB

ESPN does this to hype & sell their current product. Tune into our network while we discuss Greatness and will prepare you for watching them on our Network next season.
After a few years they will magically torpedo down the list when new media darlings are crowned.
Truly sad to compare how ESPN devolved and is now a glorified social media AI bot. I grew up on 'The Sports Reporters' on Sunday mornings. Reminds me of the decline of MTV, trapped in moment with little historical perspective.

This wasn't ESPN coming out with a typical ranking. This is just the list of teams by DVOA.
Agree with DVOA or not, it's just a different analytical ranking, not disrespectful or opinion based. It's just a DVOA rank.

I mean that DVOA ranking put this SB Seahawks team even over the SB 48 LOB team. I struggle with that too considering that team dominated the (at the time) #1 greatest offense of all time. But this is that age old question of what does the stats say vs your eyeballs.

It's obvious the Seahawks, Rams, and 49ers all benefited from the same weak schedule. 12-5 record for an injury-riddled 49er team? Oh yeah weak ass schedule. Historic DVOA for the Seahawks? Oh yeah weak ass schedule. Rams leading the league in scoring at 30.47 pts per game? Oh yeah weak ass schedule.

Hiring George Kittle's underling, Brian Fleury, might help the offense in some fashion, but signing him as an OC

It is an interesting move, but you never know what ideas these guys have in mind waiting for their opportunity.

It seems disingenuous to compare DVOA across seasons. It's really only a measure to compare teams that year. Was this an (on average) year where the gap between teams was historically large? Probably. Does that means the 2025 Seahawks were the best team of all time? Ofcourse not!

Our division rivals get cupcake opponents in the SB, while the 49ers get the best QB to play football, maybe ever, with a mostly healthy squad, and refs who are clearly biased in his favor. I swear we are cursed.

I think you should consider a different perspective when it comes to luck or being cursed. Your team's franchise still has 5 championships...a feat that realistically 23-26 of the 32 teams in the NFL will never be able to pull off even over the next 20-30 years, especially considering the salary cap started in 1994 and the Niners last championship was in 1995. In some ways you could say the Niners were blessed not cursed, because your franchise got to win its championships before the salary cap did what it's supposed to do in the NFL.
It's like becoming a billionaire and then 30 years later complaining to a more recent millionaire that you are cursed because your last 20 years of investments came to close to adding to your billions, but didn't pan out...but you still have a billion dollars in the bank.
In the world of luck and karma. Maybe the Niners are not unlucky or cursed...your team just cashed out early and the other teams are getting their chances to catch up. If the Niners are to win a 6th Superbowl before all the other teams can even catch up to 5...that could be deemed as lucky not fair...
