If this is a prediction that the Hawks will crap the bed and not win the SB by finding themselves out of the playoffs. I mean realistically only one of 32 team wins a SB each year, so making a statement as such gives you a 97% chance of being right. Hawks did not enter into this season as SB favorites, so I'm just along for the ride. I do see a very strong team overall, but Darnold definitely needs to get the turnovers under control. He is however, still much better than Geno. So of the options at QB for the Seahawks going into this season, I'm good with it.

It was a knee-jerk reaction to going down early against Atlanta I believe

And they shrug off the season opening loss to the 49ers as "rust" due to players still developing chemistry. So the 49ers were a well-oiled machine at that time? Lulz.

They do have their doubts about Darnold so I'll give them that at least.

Anyone with a brain can see that Darnold's turnovers have to get under control if the Seahawks want any chance to be a legitimate contender for a SB. It already showed it's ugly self vs the Rams and the Seahawks will have to play teams of that caliber for any road to the SB. Darnold is going to need a good clean game against a good defense under pressure to fix his confidence, but whether or not that happens...I honestly don't know. I know if he has a bad game against a good defense, it does nothing but further create internal doubt and more mistakes. He can say all the right things, but only he knows what's in the back of his mind on game day.

I haven't seen Darnold play much. Just reacting to post-game stats, but he is what Purdy was I guess - an interception gifting QB. Purdy has toned it down though in the past few games and the results are tremendous. Then you have Mahomes and Hurts just having their worst games ever last week. Anyway, this season is bonkers. Drake Maye and Bo Nix leading the AFC. Eagles reeling and the Rams and Seahawks leading the NFC. 49ers are obviously still right in the mix as are the Bills. So many surprises week to week. Maybe all 14 NFL teams that make the playoffs will have an equal chance of winning the SB. The #1 seed bye will be crucial to a team's hopes. Season finale on Jan 4 @ Levi's will be fun!

This is definitely a more interesting NFL season with no clear cut power houses heavy favorites. May play out more like NCAA March Madness than typical NFL Football.

Glad you're enjoying the season. But be careful talking like that, we have some absolute moron fans that will come in here and call you a loser if you considered your season good if you didn't win the SB

That's fair. I mean the goal of every team every year should be to win a SB, it's just not something I am not going to let influence my emotional well being as it once did, because the team has a 3% chance each year (not considering the other factors of course) of winning each year. I do know that the Seahawks offense that has been on the field for the last 4-5 weeks, is gonna have to step it up if there is hopes for a deep playoff run.

Yesterday's notable positives as a Seahawk fan:
- Myers made all his kicks including big ones
- Darnold had no turnovers (this is big)
- Darnold was composed under pressure during the last couple offensive series where the game was truly on the line
- Defense limited opposing team to 16 pts

Yesterday's notable red flags/concerns as a Seahawk fan:
- Running game was pitiful for the amount of attempts
- First half offense was too slow to start
- Poor 3rd down efficiency
- Playing from behind majority of game against a team that would be considered "inferior"
