You know what's awesome? I'll tell you what's awesome. There's a thread over at the home of the enemy, Seahawks.net, which is titled "I Love Our Chances Against the Niners." It was started by "Well Known Member" (Seahawks.net version of 49ers Webzone Veteran status) The Legend of Boom. This thread, started on January 9th, brought on a flurry of responses. It went for eight pages, as Seahawks fans chimed in about how they thought they really had a chance against the 49ers. The posting continued with upbeat responses for DAYS.

Then, on gameday, January 14th, after the game started, came one final response. It was from a fan called "JoeBart," and the time-stamp was 4:49 PM. The final message reads: "Chances weren't so great." After that? RADIO SILENCE. The thread DIED. All that false hope and bravado? GONE! The hopes and dreams of every Hawks fan died with it.

Do you know how that makes me feel? After Russell Wilson and that CHUMP Richard Sherman toyed with 49er fans for years? It makes me feel DARN GOOD. I hope it makes all of you feel good as well. Because we deserve it after the years of abuse we took from Cheat Carroll. Not only that, but we deserve more. I hope Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch smash that franchise for years to come.

Even the Seattle version of the 49ersWebzone is vastly inferior with much less fans on their site.

It's cute how they think calling us Santa Clara is an insult. Santa Clara is pretty nice actually, and it's home of the Niners

Yeah, they have some pretty weak insults. "Santa Clara" and my favorite "the digits"

That is incredibly hilarious coming from a fan base that literally refers to itself as "the 12s" and the franchise that retired the number in honor of said goober fans.

So lame lol. If it wasn't for the design of that stadium, do they really think they would somehow be way louder than any other fanbase that actually sells out their team's home games? They act like they somehow support their team more than any other fanbase and that they somehow have the physical ability to be louder than other humans that cheer for other teams. Pathetic how obsessed with the number 12 they are.

Let the Lions play their home games at Lumen Field and I'm sure their fans would be just as loud if they had something to cheer about.

They aren't even loud. Niners put up the first touchdown and they were as quiet as a funeral home in December. Their fans are inbred and Seattle is a poor man's SF. Our clam chowder is better too. And we don't wear 12 Fan jerseys because we have commitment issues

💯

The whole "12s" thing is such self congratulatory BS. If I was a player on Seattle, I'd be pissed whenever I would see a "12 Fan" jersey. The fans dont play on the field, players do. They prolly made that crap up because they needed to sell jerseys but didnt have hardly any good players until 2012.

Well, a losing or non-exciting team will do that to a fan base. At one time Seahawks.net was rocking. Thousands of diehard Seahawk fans were on that forum. These days, however, it's fairly quiet. 49ers Webzone is the same way. During the dark years? This place was dead. Who wants to talk about a horrible football team or a horrible coach who farts at press conferences? We've all witnessed it.

The older Seahawk fans realize that a game-changing player like Russell Wilson doesn't exactly walk though the front door every day. That team had more than just Wilson. He was just one part of a very good team. Marshawn Lynch was probably the best RB in the game back in the heyday of that team. The Seahawks had a very good offensive line and that defense! Well, it was called the Legion of Boom for a reason. They had a good 5-6 year run. Even after Lynch left and key members of the defense retired or left as free agents, Wilson kept the magic going for another 4-5 seasons. Toward the end, it was just Wilson. But he was enough.

But, that's over now. Rebuilding will take quite some time. It's taken Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch six drafts to build this franchise into the powerhouse it is today. As good as those two have been at drafting and developing talent in the late rounds, they have blown more than one first round draft pick. It happens. Nobody is perfect.

My long-winded point is Seahawks.net is down now. But you'll see it fire back up to life when and if the Seahawks build another powerhouse team. Which, I hope, is a long way off.

I have a hard time believing ol Pete will be there long enough for when they get competitive with us again. By the time they have the talent in place, they might be looking for a new mew coach. They better hope the new guy could be anywhere close to as good a coach as carroll is

They can't even name anyone before Carroll and Russ. I'm up here and they don't even know who Shaun Alexander or hologram were lol
