I was very pleased when Denver won their last game and dropped down, (now Seattles), 2 spots in the 1st round of the from #3 to #5 overall. As it might've taken them out the running for the 2 best defensive prospects in the draft class depending on how many QB's go first, ( hopefully just 2 ) Imo the first 4 selection are definitely blue chipper players, where as the next couple not as much potentially.

2 maybe 3 quarterbacks are going before our pick so we're either getting Carter, Anderson or Bresee. Pete also likes Bryce Young a lot but knowing him he'll probably trade back for a running back or backup long snapper. They finally struck gold on a draft class last year here's hoping they continue to make wise picks. I mean if we can get another Woolen in the late rounds great.

The 49ers are set for the future with Purdy. Does he make up for the Trey Lance trade? No, but it's a step in the right direction. Kyle Shanahan is a great coach but I don't even think he can make Trey Lance an NFL caliber quarterback. Good for North Dakota State but his weak game doesn't translate to this league. What was Lynch thinking when he traded 3 firsts and a third for Lance? There's high school quarterbacks that show better pocket poise. I mean you could've drafted Micah Parsons and saved all those picks.

I thought the last post was bad.

Football is not for everyone, I guess Lmao

Ok my bad Trey Lance is better than Montana, Mahomes, Steve Young and Marino. Does that make more sense to people like you?

What is cringeworthy about it? This is rich coming from a fan whose team threw big money at Matt Flynn only to have him ride the bench. Wait, maybe you weren't a seahawk fan or better yet, a 12 yet. The "12s" seem to be hanging their hat on the whole Lance situation as some way to discredit Lynch, the front office and Shanahan.

Knocking the trace (essentially 2 first round picks and 1 pick swap) when you're "genius" GM and Petey drafted guys like Eskridge, McDowell, Marquis Blair, and numerous other busts. Not to mention the Jamal Adams trade, the Clowney trade, Jimmy Graham, Percy Harvin.

I'll ask again, what is your and your fellow "12s'" obsession with Trey Lance? I can't imagine letting another teams backup QB situation permeating my mind to the point where it's "cringeworthy"

Did you not root for Mr. unlimited for a decade? Mr. "Eat the ball". Mr. Dangerwhich. Mr. High knees and king of cringe himself?

Dude, Lions don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.

Who cares what they think of Lance. Let them enjoy their off-season

Hear hear. I wholeheartedly concur
As cringe as Russ is and was, he kept that franchise afloat yet the "12s" have the nerve to boo him and talk crap about him. I cant stand him, but they should be thankful that he kept them relevant. Disgraceful fanbase they are.

Idiots here did the same thing when Gore was forced to leave the team.
It's hilarious that they have a 'Trey Lance Trying to remain relevant' thread that's at 10 pages. Over and over they keep bringing up the three 1st and 3rd pick that Lynch gave up for him. Frodosfinger or should I say 'Frodo got fingered' is gem of a poster ! Still trying find any way to say our team s**ks.

YUP, the angriest I've been watching a Niner game since the Denver game.

Anything Seahawk related (and Wilson will forever be part of that) just drives me up the f**king wall. I absolutely cannot stand them having any success whatsoever, on any level.
I hope they do use their earliest pick on a quarterback. It's the riskiest position to invest top draft capital in, and whoever they take will just end up as food for Bosa anyway.

Not sure why they should bother drafting a qb. Geno seems ok. Still a dirty team, though.

Did he though?

Gino freaking Smith had a better passing year than Wilson ever had there.

I really hope Geno showed enough that they bypass a QB in the draft.

I'd do my HW on every QB if I am them, as well as every potential FA QB. I thought it was interesting that Sherman said Geno will get 30 million. I was going to question that, but we gave Jimmy G about 27 million per year for 5 games. So based off of that, it wouldn't be a shock if he got 30 million, but just wow. I had Geno in the high 20s, essentially the contract Jimmy got 5 years ago or slightly lower. But we'll see. At the end of the day, I think they extend Geno and go BPA with that top-5 pick.

Something that one more game a year always helps with.

true but lets not forget that wilson was a problem before his athleticism fell off a cliff. seattle was smart to move off of him, but something aint right with them booing a guy that gave them a lot of memories

Geno Smith is the latest iteration of Steve DeBerg. As Bill Walsh so famously said of his first QB with the 49ers: "He was just good enough to get you beat." For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of watching him play, DeBerg was famous for fumbling the ball or throwing a killer interception just when the 49ers NEEDED a score. He played GREAT football for a half, or through three quarters, and then would always do something to turn a 49er W into a L.

Geno Smith is an interception and fumbling MACHINE. There is a reason why Geno sat on the bench for so long. It was on display Saturday when the playoff game got tight and the Seahawks needed a score. Right when the Seahawks needed Geno to be clutch, he fumbled away his moment. Yes, you can blame the 49er defense for that. But if you look at Geno's play through the season, you'll see him make the same mistakes in EVERY tight game. He makes a BONEHEADED mistake that costs Seattle.

This will not change. The L is stamped on this guy's forehead. Any Seattle fan who truly believes Geno will be the answer, and all the Seahawks need is another defensive player, running back, wide receiver or tight end, is delusional. The only reason Seattle got into the dance is thanks to two horrible QB performances in the final week of the regular season. The first was turned in by Baker Mayfield. The second one came via Aaron Rodgers. If just one of them managed to play decent football, the She-Hawks don't even make the playoffs.

Hope to see you when the Eagles lose next week to the Giants.
