So what does success mean?

Probably the playoffs (NFCCG for the 2nd maybe?) ... They made the playoffs last year, so it's not a stretch to imagine them making it again this year... They won't sniff the SB though, so why give up that much?

I have no clue man. I really wonder what the hell their GM was thinking.

The team has a new stadium and have to keep generating buzz. It's a good move, Bradford has some ability.

On what planet is giving up a first round pick for Brandford a good move? Some ability? Bradford may not even have "availability" soon.

That's a great trade for the Eagles. They had to get rid of a QB after drafting Wentz and they got more than market value for Bradford. The first and fourth round picks are likely worth more than $11 million over the duration of their contracts under the new CBA, but how good the trade is depends on the Vikings record this year. 1st round picks are paid well under market value.

Vikings must think they have a short championship window with Peterson getting older.

Exactly this.

I would only make the trade if I knew Bridgewater was never coming back....which makes you wonder...

Sam Bradford owes Chip Kelly his career.

Just think, if that dummy just stood up for the national anthem the 49ers would probably be sitting pretty with two 1st round picks.

Exactly

This!
His best year was with Kelly! If not his career passer rating would be well into the 70's.

Philly must feel like they just won the Super Bowl. Damn two 1st round picks with a chance to move up for Myles Garrett.

Bradford is a starter, he's just a crappy one. Shaun Hill is a backup. The Vikings have a very strong roster. They won 11 games last year. Salvaging a year of their window of competitiveness was deemed worthy of a first round pick to them. They obviously overpaid, but this move is at least defensible given the circumstances.

I mean, what's the alternative? They go into the season with Shaun Hill as your starter? What's the benefit? You get to take a gamble on a player in the 20-25 range in the first round next year? That player isn't going to contribute to the roster until probably 2018. Adrian Peterson might be retired by then. Is that really worth essentially throwing away their 2016 season?

I get that Bradford isn't glamorous, but some of the reactions are bordering on hyperbole.

That's a good a point, didn't think about that. Ya, that possibility sure is real now.

They now have one 1st rounder thanks to the Wentz trade. Its the Titans and Browns that have 2.
